Mi Colección Musical / My Music Collection - Sum 41 - Does This Look Infected? [Esp/Eng]

Hola mis queridos amigos de Sound Music y de #Liketu, bienvenidos al mes de octubre y a una entrega más de "Mi Colección Musical". Este mes trae consigo una celebración especial.. el Halloween 🎃👻!!! y en sintonía con ello les traigo un disco cuyo arte tiene esta temática. Como pueden apreciar, los zombies toman lugar en este disco, con colores muy llamativos al mejor estilo de la época de las historias del Dr Frankenstein, está genial cierto?.

Does This Look Infected? es el 2do álbum de estudio de la banda canadiense de punk rock Sum 41, lanzado en noviembre del año 2002. Luego del colosal éxito de su 1er disco, esta nueva producción llevó más lejos la fama de esta gran banda, que mezcla muy bien el heavy metal con el punk y el rock alternativo, dando un resultado muy melódico y placentero para los oídos. Este disco trae 12 canciones llenas de mucha energía, poder y acción envolviendo unos asombrosos riffs y solos de guitarras, unas fuertes líneas de bajo, una batería frenética y unas voces con grandiosas armonías. Sus 3 sencillos promocionales lograron posicionarse fuertemente en las principales carteleras musicales al igual que en los tops musicales de cadenas televisivas como MTV, lo que generó que el disco fuera un éxito masivo en ventas llevando a la banda a los lugares más privilegiados en la escena del rock mundial.

Posiblemente recuerdes el 1er sencillo llamado "Still Waiting" cuyo video fue épico y quedó en la memoria de todos los que seguimos el trayecto de esta banda porque mostraban una faceta más pesada y bien trabajada para la época. Después salió el 2do sencillo llamado "The Hell Song" canción que escribió el vocalista inspirado en un amigo que fue diagnosticado con VIH; esta es de hecho, la canción más comercial del disco y la que define el estilo en general de esta producción, además tiene uno de los solos de guitarra más brutales de la banda. Por último, el 3er sencillo llamado "Over My Head" muestra la fase alternativa de la banda con un toque de punk y heavy metal; su video contiene fragmentos de conciertos y vivencias durante sus giras en ese año de lanzamiento del disco.

Este es uno de esos discos que en mi criterio personal es perfecto, porque todas las canciones son excelentes a todo nivel, eso sí, si no estas acostumbrado(a) a tanta distorsión de guitarra en tu vida, prepárate ya que este disco es ruidoso y te dejará con ganas de más, es rock puro y crudo al 100%, lo recomiendo a ojos cerrados.

Hello my dear Sound Music and #Liketu friends, welcome to the month of October and one more entry of "My Music Collection". This month brings with it a special celebration... Halloween 🎃👻!!! and in tune with it I bring you an album whose artwork has this theme. As you can see, the zombies take place in this album, with very bright colors in the best style of the Dr. Frankenstein's stories, it's great, isn't it?

Does This Look Infected? is the 2nd studio album by Canadian punk rock band Sum 41, released in November 2002. After the colossal success of their 1st album, this new production took further the fame of this great band, which mixes very well heavy metal with punk and alternative rock, giving a very melodic and pleasant result for the ears. This album brings 12 songs full of lots of energy, power and action involving amazing guitar riffs and solos, strong bass lines, frenetic drums and vocals with great harmonies. Their 3 promotional singles achieved a solid position in the main music charts as well as in the musical tops of television networks such as MTV, which made the album a massive success in sales, taking the band to the most privileged places in the world rock scene.

You probably remember the 1st single called "Still Waiting" whose video was epic and remained in the memory of all of us who followed the band's career because they showed a heavier and well worked facet for the time. Then came the 2nd single called "The Hell Song", a song written by the vocalist inspired by a friend who was diagnosed with HIV; this is in fact, the most commercial song of the album and the one that defines the overall style of this production, it also has one of the most brutal guitar solos of the band. Finally, the 3rd single called "Over My Head" shows the alternative phase of the band with a touch of punk and heavy metal; its video contains fragments of concerts and experiences during their tours in the year of the album's release.

This is one of those albums that in my personal criteria is perfect, because all the songs are excellent at every level, of course, if you are not used to so much guitar distortion in your life, get ready because this album is loud and will leave you wanting more, it is 100% pure and raw rock, I recommend it with eyes closed.

This is the only album I have of Sum 41, it is important to note that they are still active in the present and making great music, if you do not know them, listen to them, you will not regret 👍....
