The Only Goat Satay Restaurant In My City

Hello foodie friends...
Today I will share a story about my dinner experience when I tried to go around the city to hunt for culinary in this city.

The city I live in doesn't provide much variety of food. Sometimes I feel bored and have a hard time choosing what to eat. However, there is one type of food that is usually an alternative if you are confused about choosing food. That is satay. Indonesian food with special spices.

Here there are several small outlets that provide satay with chicken meat ingredients, usually only selling using a cart on the side of the road and providing a few chairs. However, there is only one shop that provides satay with goat ingredients. And is the biggest satay stall in this city. It's called “Warung Makan Surabaya”.

Warung Makan Surabaya provides several types of food choices, such as satay and curry. Processed ingredients are also available goat meat and chicken.

In this shop, ordering curry is usually calculated per serving. However, for ordering satay, it is usually calculated per skewer. So when ordering food, we have to mention how many skewers we want to order. There is no 1 portion for this type of satay. And on my arrival today, I ordered a portion of goat curry and 5 skewers of goat satay. One skewer contains 4 rows consisting of 3 meat and 1 fat.

Goat curry is a processed food of goat meat in a soup that uses coconut milk. In addition to using goat meat, usually processed goat used in this dish is the offal such as lungs, liver, kidneys, tripe and rib meat.

Meanwhile, goat satay is a food made from goat meat which is cut into small pieces and skewered in rows, seasoned and cooked by grilling on charcoal, and generally given sauce. There are many types of satay sauces, some of the famous ones are sate kuah padang, sate with peanut sauce, and there is also satay with soy sauce. As I ordered this time, satay with soy sauce seasoning topped with chopped fresh tomatoes, sliced shallots and chilies.

Warung Makan Surabaya are only open at night, and are usually always full of visitors because this is the only stall that sells goat satay. This time I was very lucky because when I came, the visitors weren't that crowded so I didn't have to wait too long for my food to be cooked and served.

The goat curry that I ordered has a very distinctive taste, the sauce is thick and has a lot of Indonesian spices. The meat filling is a lot, and has a fragrant aroma. It tastes good and is very suitable to be eaten while the curry is still hot. While the goat satay has a soft meat texture, does not smell fishy, and is cooked with even maturity. The savory taste of the meat is combined with the sweetness of the soy sauce, the freshness of the tomatoes and onions and the spiciness of the chili. The perfect combination to eat when hungry. Accompanied by rice and accompanied by a drink of warm orange juice, my dinner this time was perfect. And very delicious.

For the price of the food served is also not too expensive. For one skewer priced at 5000 rupiahs, while a portion of curry is priced at 25000 rupiahs. Perfect for this meal that satisfies my hungry stomach.

For friends who want to visit Masohi, I recommend eating at this stall because it tastes delicious.
I also hope that there will be more variety of food served in this city.
