Hunting Terns In Seram Sea
Hello guys...
I will share my first experience with my friends hunting photos in the sea.
We spent the night in one of the floating inns in the coastal village of Seram Island, Sawai Village. The journey started after we had breakfast at 8 am, heading to an island where it was estimated that the existence of the terns we were looking for, namely the island of nusaolat. When we arrived at the island, the corals on the coast were still not visible because the sea water was still high, so we could not find the terns that usually perched on the corals.
In addition, we prepared bamboo as high as 1.5 meters. This bamboo works when the sea water has receded, we will stick the bamboo so that future birds can perch on a stick to make it easier to take pictures. It took up to 3 hours for the sea water to slowly begin to recede and we were prepared in the most comfortable position possible waiting for the arrival of the group of terns.
After getting a photo at that location, then we headed to the sandbar that we surveyed to take a picture. Taking a picture on a sandbar where there is no land is a challenge in itself, because we have to take pictures on a boat that is unstable due to the movement of the waves.
In addition, on the way we encountered sea birds flying in the sea to pass or look for food. There are even some birds perched on broken wood floating in the sea.
This journey was one of the greatest experiences for us. Thank you for faithfully reading our story.
