Contusion 😱: August 2 2023
Seriously? What else?
On Monday I pushed myself a bit more during my evening run, granted. I’ve been very careful with my shins, as I have a history of shin splints and there was no pains during the walk/run so I extended the length of runs just a bit.
I came home and even did some stretches afterwards. Right hip was a little achy at that point, hence why the stretches.
On Tuesday I forgot to take my phones when leaving home for work, so I had to drive back home and I knew I will be late, so I run to the door and that’s when I felt a sharp pain in my tight.
I still went for my daily walks and dancing in the evening with Tina on Tuesday, as I felt no pain during usual movement, only when getting up or sitting down. I though it’s one of those little aches that will go away in no time.
Yesterday I also went out for my lunchtime walk, even though it was pouring down with rain. I had my umbrella and walked faster than usual to finish the walk faster, but I still came back with wet feet, socks and shoes!
Luckily I had dry spares in the car, but all these extras didn’t help. Once back home I tried getting up from the chair I felt a pain so sharp that it made my eyes watery. I had to lay down, but the pain didn’t go away for a very long time.
That’s when I knew it’s not gonna go away all by itself. I need to rest! 🙄
