Little extra: July 12 2023
Yesterday as usual, my break and lunchtime walks gave me around 6k plus steps. Last hours of work I was super anxious for no apparent reason, so I though some extra activity, ideally little run is in order.
I had a good reason for a walk too - I had to pick up my brand new Fitbit from a local store. Of course, I could drive by on my way back from work, but I purposefully didn’t, so I can get those extra steps in.
After a little rest once I got home after work, I took my backpack, put on my running shoes on and first I went into forest direction for a walk, broken by a few outbursts of jogging and then to the shop to pick up my fitbit and a few other things.
I also picked up for cheap bathrooms scales as mine packed in a few weeks ago and I want to be able to track my weight loss progress (or lack thereof 😉).
Initial plan was to get a Fitbit scales so I can link it to my app, but as I read the reviews and looked at the prices, I decided to pick up some cheap ones instead.
It’s either £50 for Fitbit scales or £15 for no brand scales, which does exactly the same job. I’m not bothered about the brand logo. Had it had some awesome features included then maybe I’d consider it, but it doesn’t and I can add the weight manually to the app whenever I weight myself.
My new Fitbit is also the cheapest version there was. Do I love it? Not really. My previous smartwatch was nicer, but it didn’t sync with Actifit app as easily as Fitbit does and all I want is my steps recorded accurately, so I don’t need to remember to take my phone with me everywhere I go.
That part it doe’s perfectly, so I’m happy with my new purchase and extra steps I had to take to pick it up.
Until next walk 💙

Yea I wouldn't pay that much for brand scale either. It's for body weight it not like we need it to get accurate grams or do we? haha 🤣 !HUG

Defo not! 😅 The difference in price was quite staggering. Glad I looked at alternatives before buying 😁
