Teaching carrot pilaf, another traditional Iranian dish
Hello friends. Today we want to introduce you to another authentic Iranian food.
The name of this dish is carrot rice.
Ingredients we need to prepare this delicious food:
- Rice
- Chicken (I used a piece of chicken breast)
- carrot
- an onion
- Saffron
- Lord
- Sugar
- Salt and turmeric
If you pay attention to the dishes I cook, I mostly use salt, turmeric, pepper and saffron, because I don't like my dishes to taste like spices.
First, chop the onion and fry it in oil.
Add grated carrots. (I used grated carrot from the freezer, so I pressed it a little to remove the excess water.) I shaved the piece of cooked chicken that was left over from dinner and added it.
I added a spoonful of sugar to a spoonful of tomato paste and mixed it and poured it on the ingredients.
I fried it a little so that the paste returns its color. I also added saffron.
In the meantime, let the rice cook with water until the water is drained.
When the rice water was drained, I poured a little oil on the bottom of another pot and put bread, the bottom of the pot is one of the most delicious.
Now it's the turn of the rice, I poured some rice, spread some of the ingredients on the rice, rice and the middle ingredients again, we repeat this until the rice and ingredients are finished. We must be careful that the last layer must be rice. Now reduce the heat and put the pot on it. It is also closed in the container. We give about half an hour for the rice to brew.
