A Pencil Portrait of Ben Stiller
You know,it's been a long while since I made a Ben Stiller portrait. He's always been one of my favorites mostly because of the drama and expression his face often emits.
While doing my usual surfing, I stumbled upon this awesome portrait of his with a cool contrast. The entire image was primarily in mid tones and I thought! "Well, this would be a great sketch for my 8B Fei Yan pencil".
It turned out however the opposite and I had to use other darker shades to complete the sketch.
Sadly, the final outcome wasn't what I anticipated and I thought of spending extra hours to drive out the image I wanted but later I reconsidered seeing how artworks are better left to interpret themselves to the observer.
One movie of his I'd like to see again and probably will very soon is 'Tropic Thunder'.......but for now I'll leave you with this video clip by 'Of Monsters and Men' with "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty"
