FungiFriday - Stop the car!

Driving back home in the early afternoon after hours of walking and looking for mushrooms that were not there (except a few) I saw something red stuck between the grasses on the side of the road.

What? That cannot be! I jumped out of the car to make sure and there he was. In the last rays of the setting sun...

Mr Fly Agaric

I have never seen them here before but this one was definitely feeling good, so it must be a common one in that area. Large, bright red, shiny hat with the white spots. Handsome guy.

There was no other ones around, which is a shame. I took some shots and with a smile on my face went back to the car.

Time to go home.

They love to hide on you and they appear in the most unlikely spots. Breadcrumbs leading them back to you 😀

Be sure to put it in park or not. I'm sure the insurance company won't mind if you tell them it was for #FungiFriday 😀

They would understand :) If I say: It was Friday, they would respond, OK, all good, it was #FungiFriday :)))

I've never seen anything like this, maybe this species doesn't exist in the area where I live.

Maybe you don't have them. They are quite popular in Europe.
You have lots of other, very cool types though :)

If they grow here, they must grow in Cyprus too :)
There is a chance you find one. You definitely have them in Russia!

One of these days I'll go, now it's raining again.

Yes, there are many different mushrooms in Russia
