Opoki. Fountain

And again for the beauties in the Opoki. This time I still had a chance to visit the fountain. For the first time in my life, I was here in the summer, so I have never seen the fountain "naked", that is, without ice growths.

I was struck by the height of the jet – probably the pressure reached its maximum (the height varies at different times of the year).

And the almost windless weather kept the water column vertical.

This fountain is man-made: geologists drilled a well in 1941, but could not plug it.

The water here is saturated with lime and iron, slightly salted.

The jet gives out about 50 liters per second!

There are always a lot of people here in winter and summer.

In summer, you can only get by boat from the village of Porog, since a private ferry is organized for $5 per person.

Well, or if you have a prepared SUV with a winch, then you can try through the swamp.

But in winter the road here is good – people even drive through in passenger cars.

The visit would again be for the purpose of taking pictures for the exhibition in Moscow.

And the very first frame of the post also pleases Muscovites.
