Dugouts in Sheksna. Part 2

I found dugouts in Sheksna only in one place. They stand on the edge of the village along East Street next to the field. The structures are arranged in a single line of two or three rows, with a length of almost a kilometer.

There are various types of dugouts here.

There are triangular, there are square, there is a hut...but the bulked did not see any.

There was a big plus in this location - almost everywhere there was light from street lamps.

I didn't have to light it with a flashlight.

In general, my trips to the cellars can be divided into two main types by light: with a flashlight and without.

Both have their positive and negative sides.

The light from the lanterns draws better, gives contrast, shadows, and color.

With a flashlight, you get a kind of flash, but you can also run around, changing the point of light.

But the flashlight still does not give such an intensity of illumination, which is obtained locally. You can only illuminate the foreground and the dugout.

There is also a third type - spring-summer, when it is completely light and there is no need for street lights or a flashlight. But there are disadvantages...

In general, as it turned out many years later, the best light is from lanterns!

But I have already studied all the illuminated places...There were only no lights left.

I wrote the phrase above and the lights were turned off at work office...How ironic!

To be continued...
