Courtyard spaces. The Own microdistrict-2

I understood how and why I can feel space through photography and why it must necessarily be a landscape view and necessarily without distortion. That is, through a photo with excessive or unnatural processing, I will not be able to connect to the space through the snapshot.

I tried. And I realized why I was so repelled or at least not hooked by a photo with unnatural colors.

This is far from reality. In reality, the grass is green, not yellow-brown? Or are you under the salts? I'm not.

Yes, the color of the grass depends on the lighting and night shooting can serve as a small exception.

If everything is fine with the flowers in the photo, then I dive into the photo without difficulty.

It is also difficult to feel something from close-ups, because we perceive the space as integral, and not as private. In simple words, details with bokeh (blurred background) look beautiful, but it don't work at all.

I don't feel anything from them. But from a picture, even taken on a phone, a simple courtyard or street, without distortion, processing, I can feel something.

Of course, the picture should have at least a drop of artistry, because in reality we admire some beautiful light, unusual architecture...although it is debatable here, because I can feel something in the most at first glance uncomfortable courtyard of a panel house or a wooden barrack.

But I also shoot them artistically and without excessive processing. There are many good photographers in the city who shoot in a variety of genres. I review their photos from time to time and visualize what catches me and what doesn't.

That's why professional documentaries and photojournalists shoot without excessive processing and all kinds of distortions - so that it's easier to feel the photo!

Close-ups, birds, flowers - they can all cause only an association or cognitive interest, but in such pictures there are no keys for immersion.

Metaphysics doesn't work when I can't mentally feel myself in the place depicted or walk there.

When I don't feel the sounds of a mosquito from a summer evening, when I don't hear birds singing in the early spring morning, when I don't feel fresh after a summer thunderstorm, if all this can't give me a photograph, then it doesn't work, then it's bad for me.

It can be good for others, it can cause visual delight, but if it doesn't have all this metaphysical content inside it, then it's just a beautiful picture.

My pictures don't all work either.

But I try to put into each one all the feelings that I felt myself at the time of creating the photo.

Plus, I'm studying what key elements can be used to enhance immersion in the two-dimensional space of the image.

To be continued...
