Besednoye

Besednoye is a village in the Vologda district of the Vologda region. It is located 53 km from Vologda near the A114 highway leading to the West of the region. There are dugouts here, but I only took one shot with them. The fact is that there were dogs on a leash in the place of accumulation of cellars. Apparently, they are there to protect from outsiders.

But it was a surprise to see a large abandoned church here.

The church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is made in the classical style.

For a long time I tried to approach the dugouts from different sides – it would be a great shot with a church in the background.

But the dogs were screaming so hard that it seemed like I was going to wake up all the locals with my presence.

I did not bother either people or animals, and with a bit of regret I drove on.

This is probably the last snowless night outing this year.

The best time to photograph dugouts and any night spots in general. And now it's winter...
