Aurora above Priluki
I'm familiar with photographing of the Northern Lights as with moonrise/set,. Everyone believes that this natural phenomenon is rare for our latitudes, but the one who has never observed them thinks so. It turns out that aurora quite often flickers in the sky.
But after March 2015, it is already difficult to surprise me with anything...
Since August 17, the news feed has become saturated with photographs of the northern lights.
Well, I think, okay, I missed it again. But the forecast was positive for the 18th and even the 19th.
I haven't shot the glow for a long time, I decided to try the luck.
Now there is everything for this: a bunch of applications, maps, graphs, parameters, chats where people share online about what is happening in the sky, and there are even online cameras aimed strictly to the north!
Using one of the cameras located in Vologda, I tracked the beginning of the northern lights.
At first, a barely noticeable arc appeared, and then vertical flashing stripes began to appear.
But everything faded very quickly...
It was nice to plunge into this atmosphere of pursuit and expectation of a miracle again.
