My Crypto Goals for 2022
As with everything in life, we've all had to readjust from time to time. The ability to be nimble when facing challenges can be a balm during the rough patches we all face. The same is happening with me right now due to a drastic reduction in income which has caused me to alter my crypto goals for 2022.
During the current drop in prices, I know the last thing one should do is stop blogging, thus I continue to plow ahead. I've had to liquidate a good portion of my holdings to get by, but this too shall pass. Instead of the huge crypto buys I was making in late 2021 and earlier this year, these have had to be pared down to match the current reality.
But I'm still buying...
Just in much smaller amounts as proceeds come in. I'm not going anywhere! I've put way too much into this community and have too much faith in the future of Hive to bail as others have. These cycles come and go, and over time you learn to flow with it. We're doing the same thing right now.
What I am considering is possibly broadening my horizons. I'm a good writer, and am looking at expanding the portfolio of communities I can blog for. This would help flatten out the peaks and valleys in income partly due to needing to care for an elderly terminal relative, while also being a student. I haven't made any decisions yet, but it would be nice to have a reliable income stream, as I need to be here a lot to provide elder care.
My plan (reliant on increasing income), is to buy back to the crypto levels I had at the start of the year. I was on my way to 5K HP until disaster struck. When difficulties occur, we rise to the challenge, and that's exactly what has happened here.
Staking even more
I just crossed 1,250 LEO staked, and by the end of the year, hope to get that to at least between 5,000 to 10,000 LEO. I continue to make small purchases from time to time as I'm able. My hive goals are still in the 5K range, so that hasn't changed, and I'd love to be able to take advantage of these low prices. But as usual with me, any funds will only come in once the HIVE price is back over $1. :)
If I remember correctly, I was at or near 1,000 DHEDGE tokens earlier in the year, and enjoying the daily dividends. Would love to get back to those levels, and took the first tiny steps yesterday by making a small purchase. Another part of my crypto 2022 plans are to rebuild my SWAP/SIM account in dCity. This was also providing me with a steady rain of additional tokens on a daily basis.
I was just about ready to buy some land in Splinterlands, when the bottom fell out of my finances. I'd still like to pick up a plot before the year is out, as well as re-form my gold deck, SPS and DEC balances. If you've noticed, the theme here is restoration followed by further growth. I've done it before when things got rough, and am confident I can do it again. What are your crypto goals for 2022?

Sorry to hear of the challenges but this is such a good time for anything hive because hive proved itself in the last bear market. I make sure I do my @actifit steps and @risingstargame missions every day. Those always provide the little extra hive I need to build my stacks

It is isn't it? The LEO price is a bargain right now, and I pick up more whenever I can. Not to mention HIVE itself.

Since the price of Leo is low, this is actually the best time to grow my leo stake. Since i hit 2k leo power last year, I have stopped growing my leo account.
But i think this is something i need to continue for future reasons. Who knows, leo can come back being $1 soon
At one point earlier this year, I had over 1K HP delegated to @leo.voter but had to liquidate a lot of that to get by. I do have some LP delegated to a project, but have undelegated that in order to delegate to a project which will provide a daily dividend stream in LEO tokens instead.
I also have some NFTs for sale in the PsyberX and eXode marketplaces, and if they sell, I'll buy even more tokens. Fingers crossed! :)

Has the PsyberX marketplace been launched? Inclusively with the game?
I don't know about the game, but the marketplace is live. https://www.psyberxmarket.com/

It's too bad to hear that things aren't going well but the good thing about Hive is that there is a way to earn it back over time. I am growing what I can and you should try to beat Khal each week for those sweet 100 LEO.

Summer classes begin in 2 days, so I won't have the time and will have to leave that to the professional commenters. :)

Life is all ups and down and the best thing about the bad times is that it doesn't stay like that always.

Exactly. There have been times when something bad happens actully prevents something even worse from occurring. I've seen it myself so many times, that now I just flow with ripples of life, knowing good times are just around the corner! :)
