Getting Comfortable with Crypto
You know I'm busy when I don't even know what the current BTC price is... Despite all of that, I wanted share a quick post letting you know that I am in fact, still alive. Every available moment is taken up with studies and work, and I swear, these instructors will be the death of me. I've been typing so many assignments, I think my hands are going to fall off. If I have to write one more case study, I'm going to scream. :)
That being said, it reminded me of that fact that I've grown exceptionally comfortable with crypto lately. Not worrying or stressing too much over sudden moves in price, just kind of letting things flow while making the odd trade here and there.
I think it says something about my faith in the community of Hive and what we've built here on the blockchain. Because trust me, back in the old Steemit days, I would have been all over every little swing in the price, as if mesmerized by the token dancing in front of my eyes.
After awhile though, you get used to the cycles, and if the foundation is strong enough, trust begins to develop. I mean heck, I'll have been here 5 years come this July, to some of the new people I must resemble a wizened old veteran from the early days of crypto.
Remember when Bitcoin was $1 and they were laughing at us for telling them to hop on this train? Turns out we were right, and they're not laughing at us anymore are they?
So if you're new to all of this, don't listen to the naysayers. Perform your own due diligence and look for a token with a strong foundation before parting with any of your hard-earned money. I'm just glad that I found this place when I did, and built a structure sound enough that I can step away for a moment knowing the community will still be here when I return. Those of you who've been here with me, can't you feel it too? Almost five years gone, and I can't wait to see what the future of Hive has in store for us in year six!

Hahaha I can relate what you mean with steem. Every sudden push or dip makes people take take hasty actions. I'm glad you've stabilized this with Hive. It can be strenuous to to do merge your real life activities with your online one.

Yep. People tend to get worked up over every little swing in the price, but I believe in what we've built.
