IYC Contest №6 - Seating Accommodations. Посидим, поокаем - Bench-monument in Vologda, Russia.

Я представляю этот пост для конкурса IYC Contest №6 по теме “Seating Accommodations” от @hive-137094. This is my entry for the IYC Contest №6, , the theme: "Seating Accommodations" by @hive-137094.
В прошлом году на майские праздники мы с друзьями съездили на 3 дня в Вологду. Именно там, на берегу реки с тем же названием Вологда стоит вот такая интересная скамейка. Last year, for the May holidays, my friends and I went to Vologda for 3 days. It is there, on the bank of the river with the same name Vologda, that there is such an interesting bench.

Скамейка находится недалеко от Кремлевского сада. Здесь открывается прекрасный вид на Заречье. Особенно прекрасен Храм Сретения Господня. Надеюсь, он дождется хорошей реставрации. The bench is located near the Kremlin garden. There is a beautiful view of the District from here. Especially beautiful is the Temple of the Presentation of the Lord. I hope he gets a good restoration.
В Вологде много интересных скульптур и арт-объектов. Эта скамейка была у нас в планах. К сожалению, в этот день было пасмурно, а затем и вовсе сильный дождь зарядил. К скамейке мы успели ещё до дождя. There are many interesting sculptures and art objects in Vologda. This bench was in our plans. Unfortunately, it was overcast that day, and then it started raining heavily. We made it to the bench before the rain.
Скамейка – кованая. Её в 2015 г. подарили Вологде кузнецы на день города. Тогда проходил фестиваль «Голос ремесел 2015». Bench - forged. Blacksmiths gave it to Vologda in 2015 for the City Day, when the festival "Voice of Crafts 2015" was held.
Спинка с надписью «Посидим, поокаем» сделана как металлическое кружево, которым тоже славится вологодский край. The back with the inscription "Let's sit, pookaem" is made like metal lace, which is also famous for the Vologda region.
Россия большая страна, в разных регионах есть свои характерные диалекты. Для Вологодской области характерно произношение слов с четким звуком «О». Слово «поокаем» отсылает к вологодскому произношению, там и памятник букве «О» стоит недалеко. К своему различию в языке вологжане относятся иронично, но бережно. Russia is a big country, different regions have their own characteristic dialects. In the Vologda region, the pronunciation of words with a clear "O" sound is typical. The word "pookaem" talks about the Vologda dialect, and there is a monument to the letter "O" not far away. Vologda residents treat their difference in language ironically.

У скамейки есть сиденья в обе стороны. Можно сесть и смотреть на реку, можно сесть на внутреннее сиденье – это отличное место для фотографии. The bench has seats on both sides. You can sit down and look at the river, you can sit on the inside seat - it's a great place to take a photo.

Гармонь и книга появились на скамейке через год, как дань памяти знаменитому вологодскому поэту Николаю Рубцову, 80-летний юбилей которого отмечали в 2016г. The accordion and the book appeared on the bench a year later, as a tribute to the memory of the famous Vologda poet Nikolai Rubtsov, whose 80th birthday was celebrated in 2016.

Эти предметы тоже сделаны из металла тщательно и подробно. Страницы книги выполнены с такой фактурой, как у бересты. These items are also made of metal with great care and detail. The pages of the book are made with the same texture as birch bark.
И даже стихотворение Рубцова можно прочитать на страницах. And even Rubtsov's poem can be read on the pages.

Мы с удовольствием подробно рассмотрели и скамейку и виды от неё. И сфотографировались, конечно. Естественно я там посидела и поокала. We were pleased to examine in detail both the bench and the views from it. And we took pictures, of course. Naturally, I sat there and sang out "oooooooo".

Hi and thank you for this wonderful post!
But I have to ask, Vologda is a city you live or lived for a longer time? Because the contest and community guidelines are to post about our home cities. Why? you may ask. Because the inhabitant's view on places and stories about are different then tourists view, and this is was IYC is about :-)

It's clear. I didn't get the concept right away. No, I was a tourist in Vologda.
