Greetings friends of #fascinatinginsects today I want to show you this small and respectful insect that I found in the laundry room of my house, it has a strange appearance, as its hind legs are large and it has a strong armor. I decided not to touch it because it could be dangerous for me.

It is an insect belonging to the family "Coreidae", they are considered so, because they feed by sucking the sap of plants. This insect species is characterized by its oval shape, its two antennae, its large number of veins on its wings and its highly visible stench glands. These insects vary in size from 7 to 45 millimeters long. Within this species we can find others with variants both in the legs and in the oval body with spines and tubercles.

In many parts of South America they are called "leaf-footed" because their hind legs are wide. In other countries they are simply called "bugs". According to North America they are considered pests of squash, as they feed on these plants very frequently and on new shoots on a variety of plants.

Saludos amigos de #fascinatinginsects hoy quiero mostrarles este pequeño y respetuoso insecto que encontré en el lavadero de mi casa, tiene una apariencia extraña, ya que sus patas traseras son grandes y tiene una fuerte armadura. He decidido no tocarlo porque podría ser peligroso para mí.

Es un insecto perteneciente a la familia "Coreidae", se les considera así porque se alimentan chupando la savia de las plantas. Esta especie de insecto se caracteriza por su forma ovalada, sus dos antenas, su gran número de venas en las alas y sus glándulas fétidas muy visibles. El tamaño de estos insectos varía entre 7 y 45 milímetros de longitud. Dentro de esta especie podemos encontrar otras con variantes tanto en las patas como en el cuerpo ovalado con espinas y tubérculos.

En muchas partes de Sudamérica se les llama "patas de hoja" porque sus patas traseras son anchas. En otros países se les llama simplemente "bichos". En Norteamérica se consideran plagas de la calabaza, ya que se alimentan de estas plantas con mucha frecuencia y de los brotes nuevos de diversas plantas.

Se dice que algunos de estos insectos son carnívoros y que también optan por cuidar los huevos de lo que serán sus crías. La naturaleza es perfecta en cuanto a todo su entorno y ambiente.
