Pixelated NFTs and Artificial Demand

Have you seen NFTs in Bored Apes, Cats, Reapers? All of them are extremely irritating. Like think about it they are nothing but the pixel chaos that even 5 year old can compete better against.

Yet they are being presented to us in different ways as some sort of commodity which would be rare in near future. Is that the case? I personally doubt if the bored yacht NFTs would have real rare value compared to Monalisa painting.

Note: This post is totally personal opinion and by no means it is meant to critic your investments in NFT but more to justify my choice of not investing into the trash NFTs.

Don't get me wrong but if art is subjective then NFTs are manipulative. There I said it. Because I don't see much art in the NFT instead I feel it's more or less a type of content which is artificially boosted.

Which one of the two you would pay for?

I don't know about you but I would pay for the art like the one above done with watercolor and paper. Why? because those are real artists for me. Again totally subjective opinion. I feel these artist produce nostalgia and the memories through their art.

I don't have eyes for pixelated art being 1 Ethereum worth of price. Nor I see those type of the pixelated trash to have recurring NFT sales value. You can hate me, downvote me or say that "Art is subjective" all you want. But let's accept the fact that pixelated chaos is not really thousand bucks worth no matter how you spin the opinions.

Unfortunately we live in the world where such watercolor and real paper artists are suffering unless they take digital gigs.

Where is the artificial demand and boost?

Have you seen the thousand dollar value for the better art? If not then you can clearly see that NFTs made out of the pixelated chaotic trash are listed for thousand of dollars through ETH, Sol and BCH these days.

There are people paying for it and holding them which creates artificial demand and then world assumes this art is of quality which kind of insults rest of the art types and genuine artists suffer.

So cutting this rant short, money is the marker and it decides the winner sadly and sometimes it's the wrong choice.
