How to Handle Fear When Fear Has Power over You

I am one of the people who have a culture of binding their kids around themselves. If I were to be married at this age by now, I am sure I'd have done the same to my child. And the cultural thing is that being a parent, and you dictate their movement.

This kind of leads to the kids going through the fear of failure and ending up in more or less more set of the problems in the life and not enjoying the life they have in their hands. So how would you handle this fear of failure?

This was just an example. How about fear of getting rich? Fear of getting married? fear of falling in love? or even the fear of dying old alone? Let us discuss how to handle fear of failure in that case.

Recognize the Fear


The first step to getting rid of the fear is recognizing the fear and then dealing with it. Know why you have this fear and how you would deal with it on social and personal terms. It helps when you know what is stopping you and what are some of the things that are bothering you.

Once you learn how you get stopped or have any form of the obstacles. You learn how to get rid of them. So understanding what are your fears and what are the steps to deal with it is the start of the journey.

Show the Dominance


Most of the fear-related questions are around you because you don't dominate the problem. You are putting your weapons down and not holding your own power over it. You only win the war when you show the opponent that you carry a weapon and the attitude as well in order to dominate.

Once you realize that you don't let the fear have power over you, you will not let it dominate you. And from that point onwards you have to learn to dominate it. That's the approach you have to take to not let fear walk over you.

Break the Pattern


You have to understand that fear comes to you in a pattern. And the best you can do in such a case is break it is the pattern so that it comes into your life. You have to understand how to handle it and build over it as well. So you have to break the pattern through which the fear comes in.

Find out how the fear is controlling you. And then see if you are letting the fear have power over you. Like are you feeding the fear by showing it if this and that happens the worst comes to the worst there? You have to break that exact pattern.

Conclusion

Fear has the means to get you to it's benefit. And often we may find that having such type of comfort zone is good. But in the long term that is just not good and we have to understand we have to get power over fear and not let that fear break us.
