Livestock Fair in Caracas/Feria Ganadera en Caracas

Yesterday when I went out to train, I had the opportunity to enter a livestock fair that was in the Bolivar Park extension of the eastern park.

There were dairy and livestock producers from several states of the country, at least the ones I asked were from the states of Miranda, Lara, Barinas, Cojedes. Barinas, Cojedes.

I was very surprised because there were many animals in the place, goats, goats, buffaloes, horses, even ostriches and fish,

Although the latter two are not part of the livestock branch, they brought ostriches and fish from the same ranch.

While I was there a sheep had just given birth, there was also a pair of goats that were 21 days old and were loose in the public, jumping from one side to the other, they were called Romeo and Juliet.

There was not only a livestock exhibition and parade, but also food and beverage sales and products derived from goat milk.

I had the opportunity to sit on top of a buffalo with a lot of nerves, but it was like sitting on a rock, its structure was solid.

Since it is not my normal thing to see so many animals together, I asked questions at every place I passed by, which I will leave here:

• I was informed that they moved about 1,000 animals there.
• The goats and billy goats have their horns removed at an early age to prevent them from harming each other and the people who handle them.
• A buffalo can last approximately 30 years.

Too bad I could not enjoy the food at the place because it was very early and there was no breakfast, but only food for lunch, grills, fried pork, meat on a stick, and I had other commitments, so next time I will be alert to enjoy the event that was until night time.

El día de ayer cuando salí a entrenar, tuve la oportunidad de entrar a una feria ganadera que había en el Parque Bolívar extensión del parque del este.

Había productores de lácteos y ganaderos de varios estados del país, al menos los que pregunte estabas los estados Miranda, Lara. Barinas, Cojedes.

Me quede muy sorprendida porque en el lugar había muchos animales, cabras, chivos, búfalos, caballos hasta avestruces y peces,

Aunque estos dos últimos no entran en la rama ganadera asumo que trajeron de la misma hacienda los avestruces y los peces.

Mientras estaba allí una oveja tenía poco tiempo de dar a luz, también había un par de chivos que tenían 21 días de nacido y estaban suelto en el público, saltaban de un lado a otro, les llamaban Romeo y Julieta.

En el lugar no solo había exposición y desfile ganadero sino también había ventas de comidas y bebidas y productos derivados de la leche de cabra.

Tuve la oportunidad de sentarme encima de un búfalo con muchos nervios, pero fue como sentarme en una roca, su contextura era maciza.

Había exposición de equipos y productos de la industria ganadera.

Debido a que no es mi normalidad ver tantos animales juntos, por cada lugar que pasaba preguntaba cosas y datos que les dejaré por acá:

• Me informaron que allí trasladaron alrededor de 1000 animales.
• A las cabras y chivos les quitan los cachos desde pequeños, así evitan que hagan daño entre ellos y a las personas que los manipulan.
• Un búfalo puede durar aproximadamente 30 años.

Lástima que no pude disfrutar de la comida del lugar porque era muy tempranas horas y no había desayunos, si no comida para el almuerzo, parrillas, cochino frito, carne en vara, y tenía otros compromisos, por lo que la próxima vez estaré pendiente para poder disfrutar del evento que era hasta horario nocturno.
