May 2022 recap - Bear market or crypto winter?

Again a month has passed. Let me show you how my portfolio did.

Market update

May saw a big decline in the values of (almost) all cryptocurrencies. Whether it's "just" a short term bear market or a long crypto winter has yet to be shown. The total market cap of cryptocurrencies went down from 1.75 tn to 1.3 tn. Bitcoin dominance was up from 42.4% to 46.3%.
Looking at the prices of the individual currencies, Bitcoin went down from $39,000 to $31,600 this month. The price of Ethereum went down from $2,830 to $1,935.

Current Portfolio

Again I didn't invest more money in Bitcoin and Ethereum. My overall portfolio value is now about €5,300 lower than one month ago. My portfolio shifted quite a bit towards fiat (and BTC). My personal BTC "dominance" is now at 43.8% (from 40.8%).
In total I have invested €2,600 in Ethereum and Bitcoin, so I'm still at a €12,900 overall profit.

I managed to steadily increase my Hive Power holdings from 7,159 to 7,236 HP. The highest amount ever.

Are we really heading to the crypto winter? Or will this turn out to be the moment the sentiment changed to the upside again? We'll find out in the coming recaps.

Looking at it from my noob sunglasses, I think winter is already here.

Whichever way, it's best to keep building every day, good to see an increase in your HP. Everything all adds up

Indeed, being consistent and active helps building the portfolio. One day it might be worth a lot!
