Mother Nature
After the crazy weather we had a week or two ago, I did not think I can get any nice flower photos this season, I mean in April. We had snow, even ice on these delicate flowers, so you never know how affected these flowers can get, till some time passes. Luckily, the snow melted in the evening, but still. These flowers don't need snow and snow should not happen when these flowers are already open.
A few days ago I was going somewhere and on my way to my destination, I spotted these trees, full of these wonderful flowers. I couldn't be happier as that meant these trees still have a chance for a normal season.
Pink is definitely not my color, I would run as far away from it as possible, but when it comes to flowers, I have no objections. Pink flowers are lovely.
Some damage can be seen on the petals here, but I'm not sure it's because of the snow or cold weather. Nothing is perfect in life, so maybe mother nature wanted them this way.
I love these flowers, would be nice to have a huge bouquet of them on my desk, but these are not the type of flowers to be picked for a bouquet. That would mean vandalizing the tree, which we don't want, do we?
Moving on, next is my African violet's tiny bud. The truth is, my African violets took quite a huge hit this year. I'm not sure what's the problem with them, but I've never seen them performing so poorly. In five years, I've never seen anything like this. These are not old plants, but something is not right. My effort to figure out what's wrong have taken me nowhere, so the best thing to do is to let nature take its course. If they survive, good. If not, then I'm going to renew my arsenal, replace them with new ones. All I have now has been grown by me and propagated. At some point I had so many, that had to sell them. If mother nature decides I need to renew my collection, I know how to hunt for new ones, for free 😏
So imagine my surprise when I saw this little cutie growing this bud. I'm not sure what color it'll be, but I'll be happy to have any color.
Then on my way home, I spotted this wild apple tree blooming.
It's already a habit of mine, to take photos of this lovely blossom, every year. The only time I missed it was during the covid lockdown, when due to the restrictions in place, I could not go visit this beauty.
So today I took as many photos as I could and now sharing them with you.
The light wasn't the best as it was overcast, but we can't have it all, so I did what I could.
In case you're wondering, it's ok to stop for a moment and enjoy what nature has to offer. Life is a constant rush, there's never enough time for all we want to do, but that's not an excuse. It's on us to make time for ourselves, slow down, rest a bit and admire the small things as well.

Such a beautiful and blissful blog. Loved it ❤️😊
I'm really glad.
I am happy that my comment made you glad. Have a blissful day ahead ❤️😊
Although pink may not be my personal favorite color, I cannot deny the beauty of these flowers. The way the light reflects off the petals and the intricate details of each bloom are truly mesmerizing. Your photography skills have done an excellent job at capturing the essence of these flowers, and I appreciate your dedication to showcasing the beauty of nature in all its forms
No specific photography skills, mostly the merit of my camera and luck to get some good weather. But I agree, these flowers looked really nice. Thanks for the comment.

Freaking hell Erika these are great photos. I'm not a huge fan of pink either, but on flowers, it just fits so damn well!
As for your violets, when last did you repot them and change the soil? I've noticed that when the soil becomes poor, they start getting iffy. I just repotted mine and gave one away, but not after taking off two leaves for propagation.
A few weeks back while at a plant nursery I saw that there was a leaf that had fallen off one and in that moment I remembered how you get yours for free so I picked up the leaf and promptly shoved it in my handbag while whistling to myself 🤣 But being the moron that I am, I forgot about it...it's now become compost in my bag lol. I thought you'd find that kind of funny.
Lol, thank you Emma, you're very kind.
As for your violets, about a month ago, I bought soil and added to the post, some were repotted as it was needed, so I hope to see some results as that soil has nutrients that these plants need.
😂😂😂 I think you can hear me laughing. Yes, one leaf is enough to get a huge arsenal, that's how I've grown my collection. I'm a leaf thief, I'm always looking for fallen leaves and there are always some, so ... you know, recycling, giving them a second life.
Better luck next time, as soon as you get home, put the leaf in water, or directly in soil. That's what I do. Once I bought a plastic can in the shop, to protect the leaf till I get home 😁
I knew you'd find that amusing 🤣 That was smart, buying a container. I think that next time I'll be very aware of my prior moronicism and will take better care!
I'm so glad that you've given them some new soil, I know that they tend to get quite pot-bound after a while. I gave one of the repotted ones away to a family friend and it had the tiniest little buds so I'm hoping she will get a good show of flowers soon.
Have a great day and keep on potting 😁🍃🌱
Thank you my friend, have a nice day too and watch out for fallen leaves 😏
Excellent shots 👏👏, really beautiful photos, congratulations friend, best regards 🙋🙋
Many thanks @lindoro, I'm glad you like them.
I used to love apricot flowers a lot, they are pretty similar to the wild apple flowers you have shared... Those pink flowers are so pretty, in Kharkiv, people used to call them cherry blossoms :D, they are gorgeous...
I used to call them cherry blossoms too, till I saw the tree full of wild apples 😂🤣
Now I know 😂
Hahaha, then I was not the only one who knew this. Hahaha... Wild apples, hahaha...
Yup. The cherry flower petals are a bit smaller and lighter pink. This is a bit darker, but you only know if you put them next to each other. 😎😂
I must say your observation power is something, so detailed. I never did that, probably because I didn't know which one is apple flower and which one is cherry blossom... Hahaha...
You only know after, when the fruits appear. Imagine my surprise when I saw apples instead of cherries and i wrote on my post that those were cherry blossoms 😂🙊
very beautiful flowers and very interesting to look at Thank you of course for sharing this and I like it
It's good to know you like them.
You got some great shots! Look at you with your Bokeh skills!!!
You mean the phone's bokeh skills 😎😂.
I was lucky. I'm thinking of going back and doing another shoot of those light pink flowers I posted at the beginning. I hope I can still find some nice ones. Would be nice to look at them in a month or two.
Big mistake 😂
cherry trees are incredibly beautiful trees. When they bloom, everything around is filled with their smell and it's unreal. In my small town they haven't started blooming yet, but it will happen soon
I agree, cherry treas are a miracle of nature.
Beautiful shots of these flowers, I really like the quality of the focus and the texture that can be appreciated in them. Seeing your photos has encouraged me to visit a flower garden and take some shots too ❤️🌹

Beautiful photos, and although you say it was unintentional, in some shots the Bokeh effect, really brings them out.
The snow that has fallen is normal, in fact, weather-wise, snow showers can occur up to beyond mid-April (the date cannot be strict because there are many variables); but these do not do any harm to the plants because the temperatures do not allow for possible frosts, which really hurt the plants.
As for your African Violet, don't worry, Nature knows perfectly well what it has to do. I remember my mom had a jasmine, one night it got a terrifying frost (-13!!!) and a number of branches died; after a year it was stronger and lusher than before!
So don't despair, you will see that they will be spectacular this year!
I did not set the camera to Bokeh, but was glad to see the results.
African violets are pretty resistant but God knows what's happened this year. last night I talked to my hairdresser and she had the same problem, had to throw away 3 of her flowers.
I'm not worried, not one bit as I've grown my collection from scratch and can do it again if necessary.
What beautiful photos, they convey great delicacy in each one of them. What a great job and great post you did💜
Many thanks, I'm always trying to shoot nice things and I'm glad you like them.
Nice spring photo shoot. I love all the pink my favorites are the ones at the beginning.
Thank you my friend. Those are my favorite too. I'm hoping to go back for another photo shoot. Maybe tomorrow.
