Hello hivers

A few days ago, my family and I spent time enjoying the atmosphere at the downtown reservoir. Pusong Reservoir, Lhokseumawe is indeed known as one of the relaxing spots in the afternoon with family or friends.

This is my second time here, and I think I have to share the view with my fellow hivers wherever you are. Getting to the Pusong reservoir is not difficult, the road accessed also has several points. So there are many alternative routes to the Pusong reservoir when you arrive in Lhokseumawe city.

The Pusong Reservoir was built on the coast of Lhokseumawe City many years ago, inaugurated in 2011 by the Governor of Aceh. Initially, the function of this reservoir was to anticipate natural disasters such as flooding in Lhokseumawe City, but over time because of its good spot, especially for enjoying the sunset, now the Pusong reservoir has also become a tourist destination. And now the reservoir is better known as the Pusong Reservoir with an area of around 60 hectares, and is located in the heart of Lhokseumawe City, Aceh province.

There are two main accesses to the reservoir that I visited, through Tunas Bangsa Stadium, Mon Geudong, and also through the back of the fruit market in the city center.

In the afternoon, visitors will find the area, some are exercising, some are just hanging out while waiting for the beautiful sunset.

From the edge of the reservoir, fish cages owned by local farmers are also located in the corners of the reservoir which are a source of livelihood for the people around the reservoir.

Across the reservoir, the Cunda River that divides the city of Lhokseumawe also has a mangrove forest so that it looks like a small island. There is an ecosystem of white storks that often spend the night until morning adding to the beauty of the reservoir and becoming an attraction for lovers of mangrove forest tourism.

Rain trees are planted along the road surrounding the reservoir, here visitors can take shelter from the scorching sun while enjoying the beauty of the blue sky. There are also various food menus that can be enjoyed while waiting for dusk to arrive.

I ordered some food menus, here the popular clam noodles. Clams and oysters caught by fishermen are often the menus sought by visitors. In addition to their distinctive taste, fresh clams and oysters are very popular with visitors.

Here is a place for visitors, traders serve a variety of menus. Young coconut ice is also one of the favorite drinks of visitors who relax while waiting for dusk.

The blue sky gives its own color to the beauty of the Pusong reservoir. Farmers' cages are scattered in almost every corner of the reservoir which is now an icon of the city of Lhokseumawe.

This area, which was initially visited by many visitors to enjoy the atmosphere in the afternoon until evening, has now developed into a function as one of the sports areas in the morning or evening. The large area makes it quite comfortable for a morning walk with family or relatives. Holidays such as Sundays, the reservoir area is very crowded with various people with various activities.

Twilight is the awaited moment, Pusong Reservoir becomes a spot to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Sunset lovers capture beautiful moments here.

My family and I also enjoyed the sunset while enjoying the snacks that we had ordered earlier. If you visit the city of Lhokseumawe, this area is one of the destinations that you must visit. In addition to the beauty of the reservoir, various community activities; from cage farmers, visitors who exercise to sunset lovers who enjoy various culinary delights on the edge of the Pusong Reservoir make this place one of the most visited spots in the city of Lhokseumawe.
