...Nxc3, Nxc6 Qe8, Qd3 Nxe2+, Kh1 Nxc1, Raxc1 Qxc6
Black has the advantage and should win.
There you go! That's a winning variation too. The point is that 2. Qd3 fails to 2... Nxd4! where the knights protect each other. So we have to check 2. Nxc6 (the lateral thinking variation), but it fails, too, as you pointed out.
Exactly!
Hey! Check out the comments. Apparently ...Qe8 is flawed!
Puzzles🤤. I eat them for breakfast.
Double attack and fork, intermezzo, and Danger levels are all present here.
1... Nxc3! 2. Nxc6 Qe8 3. Qd2 Nxe2+ 4. Kh1 Nxc1 5. Raxc1 Qxc6 and black is up a piece.
Yes! That's very smooth.
I just realized, instead of 5. Raxc1, white can play 5. Nd4 and the knight on c1 is trapped and will be won on the next turn. How then do we go about it?
Wow, this puzzle is more interesting than I thought! LOL. Perhaps the variations with ...Qe8 flawed? I saw another variation too.
Yeah, really challenging.
Seems like. What is it, can you share?
