Por naturaleza los seres humanos somos curiosos, pues necesitamos descubrir el por qué de las cosas, su esencia y su utilidad, lo que permite lograr que el conocimiento adquirido sea provechoso y nos brinde la satisfacción de tener respuestas a nuestras incógnitas.
By nature, human beings are curious, because we need to discover the why of things, their essence and their usefulness, which allows us to achieve that the acquired knowledge is profitable and gives us the satisfaction of having answers to our questions.
En tal sentido, llega un punto donde el saber se convierte en una necesidad, que nos permite evolucionar y crecer. Ahora bien, teniendo presente que la curiosidad es fundamental en cualquier contexto, podemos entender también que es uno de los caminos para adquirir el aprendizaje, pues dice Katherine Twomey [](https://www.elconfidencial.com/alma-corazon-vida/2020-07-21/por-que-humanos-somos-curiosos-explicado-ciencia_2689576/) "es un medio de recopilación de información", lo complementamos diciendo que nos lleva a estimular el deseo de conocer e indagar, y esto nos ayuda a adaptarnos con mayor certeza a nuestro ámbito, conociendo y entendiendo nuestra naturaleza.
In this sense, it reaches a point where knowledge becomes a necessity that allows us to evolve and grow. Now, bearing in mind that curiosity is fundamental in any context, we can also understand that it is one of the ways to acquire learning, as Katherine Twomey says [](https://www.elconfidencial.com/alma-corazon-vida/2020-07-21/por-que-humanos-somos-curiosos-explicado-ciencia_2689576/) "it is a means of gathering information", we complement it by saying that it leads us to stimulate the desire to know and inquire, and this helps us to adapt with greater certainty to our environment, knowing and understanding our nature.
Entonces, aprender con conciencia es estimular nuestro deseo de conocer, de encontrar respuestas a las diferentes interrogantes que se pueden generar a nuestro alrededor. Por lo tanto, la curiosidad como estado, según Berlyne es la activación que genera cualquier interrogante o estímulo externo desconocido, de manera que aprovechar nuestra curiosidad es ampliar nuestros conocimientos a través de la influencia de lo que tenemos a nuestro alrededor para poder entrar en el proceso de buscar respuestas.
Then, learning with awareness is to stimulate our desire to know, to find answers to the different questions that can be generated around us. Therefore, curiosity as a state, according to Berlyne, is the activation generated by any question or unknown external stimulus, so that taking advantage of our curiosity is to expand our knowledge through the influence of what we have around us in order to enter into the process of seeking answers.
Muchos pensamos que la curiosidad se da solo en los niños pero de adultos no nos detenemos a disfrutar este estado por el hecho de nuestras ocupaciones y se nos olvida la importancia de poder alimentar nuestro aprendizaje a través de la curiosidad. Estimularla es solo cuestión de conciencia, pues en los niños nos toca generar espacios donde se lleve a cabo dicho proceso, como adultos debemos también buscar dichos espacios y ya cuando somos padres la mejor estimulación es a través de juegos, retos, preguntas, que simultáneamente nos generarán beneficios: desarrollo del pensamiento crítico, desarrollo de habilidades de interacción y socialización, fortalecimiento de areas cognitivas, fortalecimiento del pensamiento, procesamiento y creación de ideas, entre otros, que contribuirán al desenvolvimiento tanto del niño como del adulto.
Many of us think that curiosity is only found in children but as adults we do not stop to enjoy this state because of our occupations and we forget the importance of being able to feed our learning through curiosity. Stimulating it is only a matter of conscience, because in children we have to generate spaces where this process takes place, as adults we must also seek such spaces and when we are parents the best stimulation is through games, challenges, questions, which simultaneously will generate benefits: development of critical thinking, development of interaction and socialization skills, strengthening of cognitive areas, strengthening of thinking, processing and creation of ideas, among others, which will contribute to the development of both the child and the adult.
Es por ello, que mi invitación es a darle espacio a la curiosidad, para pdoer seguir construyendo aprendizaje que pueda ser contagiado a quienes nos rodean, y así generar resultados que promuevan la adquisición de nuesvos aprendizajes.
That is why my invitation is to give space to curiosity, to be able to continue building learning that can be transmitted to those around us, and thus generate results that promote the acquisition of our learning.
