My Holiday life as a business man & a student
π£πΎπππππΎπ½ πππππ πΌπΊπππΊ
It has been a couple of weeks since the year started, with the whole festive period behind us, despite all the merriment that comes along with the new year celebrations, it is time put all that behind us and focus on what matters. especially for those who have highlighted a couple of goals and objectives to be achieved by the end of the year, hope you still remember those promises you made to yourself? because I did.
Working on the identified goals and objectives as soon as possible make it easier to achieve because time waits for no one, especially those with new year resolutionsπ, everyone as one thing or the other they crave to achieve every year and from experience I realised that failure to start working in those goals earlier eventually affect the result, every minute matters.
Well, as a student and a business manπ,the time span of my new year celebration and merriment was not really as long as everyone else, for instance as a student immediately after the new year celebration was over, on the 3rd of January I was informed through my project supervisor WhatsApp platform that every student is expected to resume their project work immediately because my final year project defence will hold at January 19.
Though I have successfully completed my project last year before going home for Christmas and New year celebrations but due to to the business factor which I mentioned I had to resume, in case you don't know what I meant by the "business factor". As a student I also assist other students in doing there project, getting project materials and journals, project counseling and documents printing which I make a significant amount of income from, just as the statement goes "Man must chop"π.
I was not really happy with the resumption news despite the fact that I knew it is good for business, I needed more time to rest because last year before going home I was having some symptoms of malaria which affected my New year celebration, I needed more time to rest but as usual due to calls from my colleagues and customers that needed my attention I had to resume school and business simultaneously.
At first, the feeling was a little unpleasant in two ways. firstly, I enjoy traveling but road trip just turn me off sometimes, As you know Nigeria roads especially the one along Ogijo- Odogunyan- Sagamu Ogun State axis Connecting to Abeokuta, the road is so dusty especially during harmattan, it makes me feel sick anytime I make use of that road
Secondly, In the process of traveling back to Abeokuta, I can't help the feeling of missing being with my family, especially their hospitality π©, coming back to Abeokuta to my lone apartment is not really a pleasant choice, though I enjoy living in my own space but I also enjoy being taken care of by my family π. As usual, I needed to wake up to reality "No food for a lazy man" and "Nothing good comes easy".
I do wish the holiday can keep rolling but everything is bound to end at one point all the other.
Honestly, friend, combining studies with work is not always easy to handle. But this reminds me that working as a student helped me to settle my financial issues as a student. The bad road in Nigeria is always a mess but we keep hoping that things should turn around for good after the election.
Yeah that is true, working as a student assist in stabilising financial related issues to a manageable extent, though it is stressful but what choice do we have.
Yeah hopefully the roads get better after election but I have no expectations, that road has been like that since I was in junior secondary school JSS1 and now I just finished my HND. It is almost hopeless to consider the possibility of the road being repaired.
Thanks for stopping by friend, I appreciate your comment.
The earlier the better, the earlier you resume working the better for you to be on safer side. Resuming late can actually stop one from achieving their set goals.
The earlier the better.
Thanks for visiting my blog and I appreciate your comment.
Working and schooling are not easy but give it to Nigerians to make things look normal.
Leaving home and family hospitality does remind one that it is time to go back to the hustle.
Working as a student is not only attributed to Nigerians only but the stress attached to it is more overwhelming than those in other developing countries.
Thanks for your visiting my blog.

You stay in Ikorodu or you just passed through Ogijo?

You are a smart business ma and you must be making a lot of money during the project period for the final year student. Abeg make I send my Aza...

You are stuck in between two choices then ππ
It's either you go back to your lone apartment or stay back to enjoy family's food ππ it's not always easy and we all want to continue being around our family but duty calls and if we don't work, we won't eat or survive.
I came through #dreemport
Yeah as much as I would love to, money must be madeπ.

It must be made oo π
Your spiritman isn't ready even including you isn't ready but school is ready lmao ππππ... This is the effect of the announcement ... there's something that would push you up! It can be money, school or other things! It's a force that we would reckon to!...Be strong sweetie...π

My pleasure!
Sounds like you found a nice little niche product there with your project coaching and support skills. Quite the entrepreneur - see a gap in the market and jump right in! And not afraid of hard work either! Good for you. I wish you all the best for the coming year - hopefully you make enough money to earn yourself some rest days back with your family at some point.
I dropped in from Dreemport this evening. #dreemer for life
