Life is full uncertainties which makes it difficult to easily predict the outcome of things, most especially how specific humans tends to react to a particular event. in some ways I find it interesting, what is the essence of life if every outcome is known before the event itself took place, it will spoil the funπ .
Over the years, As the marketing sphere navigates gradually into the digital world, making it more easy to have access to product without taking a step. though I have always been a great fan of sourcing of items online, "sourcing" in the sense that, I might not really be interested in buying that item at the moment or all I want is to get the price and plan towards it in the future, digitisation of marketing has made this act of mine a lot easier.
Apart from shopping online through websites and apps, there is another rampant medium, a division of online shopping, which is social media shopping. in recent times we have a lot of individuals who advertise their product on social media to get across to customers/consumers. All you have to do is view the product, contact the vendor and it will be delivered to your door step.
it sounds pretty cool but compared to the normal websites and apps for shopping, the credibility and authenticity of this online vendors is quite challenging. they mostly survive on referral some who have made deals with them and confirm they are legit but this doesn't guarantee that they wouldn't turn out to be scams in the future.
I had a weird experience with one of this online vendors about a year ago, one of my siblings was in need of a school bag and he kept pestering me about it and it is quite difficult to say no. knowing fully well that his birthday was around the corner I just decided to buy the bag and kill two birds with one stone π . I decided to check online outlet for bags that will be convenient for him but I wasn't seeing anyone I liked.
One Faithful day, I was strolling through my departmental WhatsApp group, when a lady's advert was forwarded into the group, she seem to be into all this wholesale stuff including bags, so I decided to check her catalogue on WhatsApp, I saw a lot of amazing bags listed, one in particular pinned my interest. so I texted her and requested for the bag, the amount she mentioned was a little bit expensive but she made emphasis on delivery expenses so I decided to ride along.
But the funny thing about this online vendors is, they always request for money before delivery of the item. I got paranoid and chatted up my colleague that posted her link, she admitted the online vendor is legit, as someone I knew I took her word for it. I went ahead and made the payment, she gave me details of when the bag will be delivered.
The bag was delivered the second day around evening to my door stop, so I hurriedly tore the package wrap to check out the product, that is when the whole drama began. though the bag looks exactly like what I ordered but not in terms of size and thickness. I immediately contacted her and informed her about my discomfort. she claimed that is how the bag looks like and that is the only size she had, the size of the bag was written on the picture I saw but what was delivered was smaller. I grew a little upset because she collected an amount for a bigger bag and delivered a smaller one.
I wanted to request for a refund but knowing how this online vendors are, what if I sent her the bag and she ended up holding unto the bag and the money, that will be double loss. I just let the matter slide and vowed not to ever patronise any of the online vendors again.
It's quite unfortunate how some of the online vendors spoil the business for genuine ones. Although I haven't done any online shopping before but I have scores of what people pass through in the hands of some of them.
I equally sell some things online and it's what you paid that you will get.
My name is precious to me.
This is the cruel side of it because based on the negative experience people have passed through, they use that same measure to generalise all online vendors.
Thanks for stopping byπ€π€
It's a indeed saddening but the genuine ones are still known.
You are welcome
That's the problem with buy fashion items online: you can never be sure of the quality and it's even worst when you're dealing with a dishonest vendor who will give you something else rather than what you actually paid for
That is true, they have the habit of displaying what they don't have in stockπ
Thanks for stopping byπ€π€
This is always the weak point. If you fight further, the tendency of loosing everything is sure π
Of course, why would I want to play a game that I might end up losing everything.ππ

ππ seriously this is very funny and it is also annoying , how can you order for something and something else is given , it is crazy , if it is me I won't take it , I will drag it till the end ooo, thanks for sharing .
I guess I could have dragged the issue but I chose peace of mind over drama.

Wow... I think I'm beginning to pick some common terms from the writes up I read so far with is centralised on the issue of online.
In as much as technology is good yet one must be careful because some people are gullible and egocentric. Not every thing that glitters online is gold.
I have found victim of such in many instances where their status was saying different thing from the reality I had at hand.
Thanks for sharing though.
The more innovation in terms of technology, people with criminal intentions will definitely come up with different ideas to rob people of their money.
I appreciate your insightful comment, thanks for stopping by π€π€

It sounds like quite an ordeal. I hope the bag was still of benefit you somehow. I've found online reviews to potentially help before ordering anything. Your situation sounded a bit different tho. Anway, thanks for sharing your story.
#dreemerforlife beemed down from #dreemport to your #dreemer curated post :)
The bag was meant for my younger brother younger, though it fits but I would have preferred a bigger one.

This is something I dislike about online vendors, you would pay for quality things and get one of lesser quality.
I also had an ordeal like that, mine was clothing materials. I don't know if after snapping it they would edit it and add filter to make it look expensive or they would just decide to deliver one of lesser quality after getting money for a quality one.
After my ordeal, I also vowed not to ever buy things from online vendors again and it was the best decision I have ever made.

I believe they download the pictures of the product from internet, display it on their platform as a proof of products they have in stock but in reality they don'tπ
Some of these vendors have no sense of business, doing this what I ordered vs what I got scenes with customers will reduce their legitimacy and customer in the long run. If only they knew. Someone would just carry bad character and enter into business.
This is just truth, I guess they are not planning on running the business on a long term, if not they would care a lot about earning customer trust.
Thanks for stopping by
True, they probably donβt have a long term plan.
Your welcome π€.
More like what I ordered versus what I got. It is mostly common these days and most times these online vendors are unapologeticπ€¦π½ββοΈ

Since most of their actions are done intentionally, I'm sure they won't feel the need for an apology.

Youβre welcome
Purchasing items online are always at buyers risk it's either it's not delivered after payment or is not the exact package that would be delivered. At least she did not fully scam you like some others would. This one is half scamming.
#dreemport #dreemerforlife
I guess I should be grateful that I was not fully scammed π π
