The Recent Movie I Watched

I am a fan of movies, there is no week that I don't watch one, I know I don't watch much but atleast a week doesn't go by without me watching something. There is always a message that is sent by everything that happens on the earth, no matter how casual or simple it might look.

Movies are also like that, beyond entertainment, there are always messages attached to each of them, but just Incase you were not able to decode it, then it means it wasn't for you yet. I most times watch movies to get entertained but at the end I leave being entertained and enlightened as well.

For the recent movie I watched, the title is Maya The Bee, The Golden Orb. Maya and her friend willy were two wonderful bees who were full of energy and go about doing adventurous things. They always want to do something that could benefit all, not minding whether whether it is for a bee like them or other insects.

Unfortunately, everytime they tried to do something good, they end up ruining it, Maya was so brave, she always loves daring things, willy on the other hand was a calm guy, he is always loyal and ready to follow instructions.

It all started from the Hive, when Maya wanted to show her friend willy how beautiful the Hive would look when the sun reflects on the sun stone during the spring ceremony that would soon be taking place. Willy was on the bed sleeping that very morning when Maya woke him up and forced him out of the bed to where the sun stone was.

Everyone was still sleeping while the two of them went there exploring , Maya after telling willy beautiful things about the ceremony, which he claimed to have known already so that Maya would allow him go to bed but she refused and kept talking until she reached the point where she unveiled the sun stone and tried to get the sun's reflection when the sun was rising.

Unfortunately the sun rose in a strange way that day, it didn't even last long before, it went down again, Maya felt disappointed, as she wanted to impress her friend willy, everyone would have thought, Maya would stop there, but out of resilience , she said they have to fix what just happened.

While willy was still trying to convince her that it's not up to them to fix everything, Maya already left the Hive, and was trying to look for what to do, willy had no option but to follow her . She changed her mind along the way and decided to go into a hole to see some worms. Their visit went wrong as willy mistakenly stepped on worms who were sleeping and they got agitated and chased them all the to their Hive and destroyed almost everything, including the sun stone.

When their queen came and saw what they did, she was furious and ordered that Maya and willy gets separated from each other. She thought if that happens they will stop destroying things and their lives will be safe too.

Unfortunately, Maya heard that conversation and she went out to inform her friend willy who was on the field, she explained everything to him and told him that, their only remedy was to do something special, it was the only thing the queen said could change her mind. While they were still thinking of what special thing they could do to appease the queen, they heard someone screaming for help from afar, willy thought it was the wind at first but later realize that it was not.

They flew closer and discovered it was a green ant that was in troubled, being chased by bugs, they found a away of flying away with the ant but they were only young bees they got tired and they fell along the way because the ant was too heavy.

The ant fell and broke it's legs, so he asked them for a favor after narrating the story of how he got himself into been chased by the bugs. His home was destroyed by the bugs whom they used to live together.

The bugs saw their selves as superiors and need not be together with ants. The queen of the ants was the strength of the ants when she died, the bugs had an opportunity to torment the ants and wanted chasing them completely from the place.

Before the queen died, she gave a golden orb to that ant that was rescued by Maya and willy, she made the ant understood that the life of the entire green ants depends on it. After the story Maya felt sorry for the ant and decided that they should help him complete his mission since his leg is broken and the bugs are after the golden orb.

The ant was happy he got help, so he gave them the necessary description where the need to take the orb to. It was a tough journey for both Maya and willy but they kept getting help along the way, meanwhile, the bugs kept chasing them. Until the golden orb fell from Willy's hand and broke.

It was then they realized that it was an egg, it was the princes, the heir to the entire green ant kingdom that was residing there, all along. she got hatched on willy's hand and liked willy more than anyone else. He was really not comfy with the mission but Maya kept pushing him.

At one occasion, the bugs chased them until they fell into a stream and got a leaf to float on, yet one of the bug followed them into the water and tried to retrieve the princess, so that they can terminate her life, unfortunately, the bug landed wrongly and fell into the water and was almost drowning. Willy, Maya and the princess devised means and rescued the bug and they left.

Little did they know that the bug was a sister to the king bug, after that scenario, the bug changed and understood that they didn't need to hate the ants or the bees, they are not a threat as the bugs supposed. She went home and tried to convince her brother to give up on the mission of destroying the ants but he refused and proceeded on his mission.

Just when Maya, willy and the little princess arrived the supposed kingdom, the king bug also came and wanted to destroy them, though his sister gave Maya and willy a clue on what to do inorder to get him change his mind but he refused and insisted on destroying the entire ants.

As he was trying to launch an attach then came hungry birds from no where and attacked everyone. The king bug was scared of bird more than anything, willy was the one that helped him when he almost got eaten. While Maya looked for a way to chased the bird, she advised them to walk together, both the ants and the bugs which they did and created a scarecrow that scared the bird away.

After everything the king bird repented and apologized to the ants for being mean, he said they are better and greater when they work together. They built a new home and inhabit it together.

Meanwhile the news was noised abroad that Maya and willy saved green land and also reunited the ants and bugs. The queen of the bees was very proud of Maya and willy and she revoked the punishment she gave them.

If we work together, there is nothing we can't achieve, one of the things that has been keeping us bond, is difference, we are all living things that alone makes us one. If we learn to respect each other and accept each other regardless of our differences, we will do wonders together.

Also we should never give up on our dreams even if no one is seeing light in them, normally people don't see worth in a thing when it is still raw. Another message I got from this movie is, we should always be there to help others when they are in need, especially when we have what it takes to help, you might be saving the life of a nation, with just that one act of goodness.
