Is Your Mental Health A Priority Too?
A lot is happening in the world, there are challenges everywhere. No one will say he or she is not feeling the heat. The issue of hardship is what is killing most people, some wish they don't even have the life they have because of problems.
People labor and yet don't see positive outcomes, they kept their minds straight and tried to hold unto motivation but sooner or later they discover that things ain't still working out. These things and many others wear people down.
On the street today there are many people who are no longer themselves, should I say living dead? Their minds and sould have left their bodies for long. I have a friend who is very young yet developed a short time memory after going through a lot of bad times in life
You can be talking to him now the next two minutes his attention is no longer with you, he is either thinking on how to make the next one dollar or contemplating on how to stock his room with food stuff. Very good mind set right? But his relationship with people is dying.
Such a nice guy but life has affected his mind, I hear his girlfriend complain many times that he doesn't have her time and he is not fun to be with because he is not a good listener.
I have seen people walking and talking alone on the street, I have seen old men sitting and lamenting alone in solitary places. Some person are so much injured by life that they don't regard others as anything anymore.
All the above are examples of Mental disorder. Don't be too quick to think that it is only the poor that are prune to having mental challenges, the Rich man has his own unique problems too. What cause mental problems is lack of result
.
When one is putting effort into something and that thing refuses to yield or give the kind of result that is expected, it becomes a big problem to the person. Lack of result will birth disappointment, disappointment will birth anxiety, anxiety will birth depression and depression will birth worry and worry will eat up your mental health like cancer.
Unfortunately, we can never escape failures, whether we like it or not we are prune to lack good results sometimes. This is to tell us that every human on earth is vulnerable to depression but it is a choice to yield unto it.
In as much as we labor hard to have ends met, if the only thing we pay attention to is our bodies then we will soon loose that energy that empowers us to work. Our mental state of mind combine with a healthy body is what I consider as good health.
The same way we fight malaria, eat good food so that our bodies can be healthy, we are supposed to pay close attention to our minds too so that we can have a balance. A person who is mentally ill can't produce good results. Imagine you are going through heart break, how can you have the focus you need to attend to your work?
I said earlier on that we can't avoid situations that can trigger mental disorder yet we can devised means to resist them when they attack.
A lot of people in trying to escape this problems end up adding to it by drinking alcohol or smoking and doing other illegal things which end up making them worse. There are many natural ways to handle whatever is disturbing us mentally, we don't have to complicate things for ourselves.
My Tactics
1 . Proper rest : I am not a machine, I can't kill myself over chasing material things, I know I need them but also need to keep myself in check so that I won't break down whenever I am up for work. Sleep is very good, it relaxes the mind and gets our brains refreshed. There were many days I off my phone and go to sleep just to refresh my mind inorder for me to get inspiration.
Have you never been in a situation where you run out of ideas completely and if you try to force yourself to do work, all you can offer is nonsense ? Broh! If you are tired rest, get some sleep, walk around, get some fresh air, you know what works for you. If your brain is not in the right state it will malfunction.
There is no work on earth that doesn't warrant for breaks, that is because they know that the head too needs to relax. Have you not seen car engines knock out on tough journeys? Even machine rest, how much more about you that is flesh and blood?
Well don't get me wrong, rest doesn't mean, running from work and giving excuses for maintaining mental balance, if you do that, poverty will soon kill you. Too much of everything is bad like it is said. You need to know when to apply the rest pill.
2 . Music : I discovered this method recently and I wished I knew about it long ago. One of the easiest way for me to cool my head off and forget about my problems is to play a very soft and motivating music. I hope you know that music has forces too, the kind of music you listen to has the ability to either mar or make you.
Music works well for me, I don't hear music but I listen to it. When you listen to music it will be give you enough energy to confront whatever fights you .
3 . Stay positive : having the knowledge that problems don't kill but worry does, I tend to push away my worries and stay in hope while working and preparing myself for better days ahead. It may take you time to master this but if you achieve it, you will never regret training yourself for it.
What I do is fight with the thoughts in my head, anytime anywhere, when a negative though comes into my mind, I kick it out by speaking to it, sometimes even audibly. I need to keep my mind sound. Negative thoughts are germs I can't let them in.
When thoughts of bills comes in and I don't have enough resources, I stay in hope and keep working, sometimes I act as if I am not the one the problems are staring at. Whether I worry or not, the problems will go when I have the money and the will remain if I don't solve them. So instead of worrying, I choose to ignore and keep working.

You are right, a lot of people are dying inside, and they are not speaking up which is bad. some have no one that they trust enough to talk to and it is understandable. Hence the reason to seek professional help
Honestly, many are dying with problems inside and won't still speak up.. though I won't blame some of them because some people are just waiting to hear your problems so they can spoil you the more... Going to a professional for help is really the idea... Thank you so much for stopping by...
You have capture it all we have find our self in a generation were a child of 10 years is struggling to keep food on the table while his parent are still alive a world that made human beings got affected mentally like this your friend you are talking about he is suffering from forgetfulness which made him to think too much on what to do and what to eat I will only say is God that will give us good health and mental and give us the heart and enablement to work and put our effort in hive for a better life
Honestly bro, people are facing a lot of problems.. challenges don't even select whom to visit, it comes upon all, regardless if maturity or gender.
At times like this, it is easier for people to be in depressed than to be happy. A lot of people go through emotional problems and many other things which leaves them wounded mentally.
But, we need to find ways to come out those worries, those thoughts of how will things be, how will i make it and the likes, we need to keep pushing , stay positive and trust for better days rather than stay in worries..

Exactly, if our mind is healthy, surely our bodies will be healthy as well, and if our bodies are sound, then peace won't be far from our door steps
