Against The Force - My Experience
Against The Force - My Experience
We are very delighted to have security personnels on the roads ensuring that safety and security is kept. I must say a lot of them are doing the job as they ought to do but like a popular saying goes, amongst the twelve there's always a Judas.
Honestly, in our days the Judas are almost half of the twelve, those of you that travel very well you will bear me witness with what some of these security personnels are doing on the road, instead of doing what the law demands they extort money from drivers and allow offences go scot free.
For the military, their problems is harsh and cruel human treatment, I don't know if they are seeing their self as semi god or something, they don't regard civilians especially those who don't have influence as anything. They do anything they want, embarrassed anyone and go free. They forgot that they were once civilians and are employed for the civilians.
The day that civilians stop existing, their services might be of no use, this is not for military alone, I notice almost every security person in Nigeria has that attitude once they are on uniform they disregard human persons The painful part is that most times they do it for show off.
My Experience
Some time around 2021, I was going to Jos to see my elder sister, Jos road is on of the roads I know with many check points. I have been traveling that road many tines and we never had any problem with the security except for road safety, you know those ones can't be escaped, papers or no papers you see still guilty.
That day, when we started the journey, we successfully moved out of Nasarawa without any problem. we passed several check points and we were allowed to pass freely until we got to one like that and a very young dark and handsome soldier stopped our car and asked the driver to park.
Let me tell you the truth, I am a very scared person, when that happened my heart skipped, I have heard stories of how soldiers keep people for hours on the road, make them frog jump or pick dirt. I was just praying in my heart, that no one in our car did something wrong.
When the soldier came and checked the vehicle, he said everyone should come down, Omo, that was the point the saliva in my mouth dried. When we came down, he told the driver to open the boot and he did, the next thing I heard is, who has that backpack?
Everyone was mute, It didn't even occur to me that I would have any fault there, so I was just waiting for them to finish and ask us to move, to my greatest shock, the driver called me to the scene, when I got there it was my bag. My heart cut but I managed to compose. I responded I own the bag, he asked the driver to offload everything from the boot. The guy pleaded but he didn't pay attention, we have to bring down all the loads.
After that the soldier guy said, I should remove everything from my bag, innocent me, I had to break the silence, because I knew how I suffered to package my clothes in there. I asked him what I did and the response he gave me was that my bag is a military bag. I don't have the right to use it.
He started asking silly questions, you know it's a soldier, I had to defend myself but with wisdom. I told him, how I got the bag, I bought it in the market. It was beautiful, I didn't know it was an army bag. He kept insisting I off the clothes inside and give him the bag .
Obviously, I would not, we were in the middle of no where, if I give him the bag, where will I put my clothes? Other passengers joined me and we pleaded before he allowed me to go and warned me never to use that bag again. It was funny to me because I have been using that bag for years and no one questioned me.
After wasting our time, he let us leave but before then, he collected the phone number of one of the girls in the car. I was wondering what kind of man is that, collecting number from a totally stranger, what if she was a ghost? That was how everything ended, one thing must surely kill a man though. How sure are you that it was not even the lady that made him stopped our car?
Immediately I read, 'military bag' I know say e dn be because they've hammered already if care is not taken.
Girls like things of this nature...it freaks them 😄
Guy, I was just so worried because if he should collect my bag, I would have nothing to put my clothes and being a car with fine girls like that, how I wan hold those clothes na?
Some people are playing Sha..
Thanks for stopping by broh.. I really appreciate
See your problem 🤣. Finished
LoL.. you won't understand broh.. 🤣🤣
Lolz
It's the collecting of phone number for me, you were not the target sure, you were the diversion
Uniformed men see the Uniform as the alpha and omega
LoL!! I was just used as the bait to catch the fish. But my question is where would he see her again? What if she's even a ghost😂😂
Hmmm
You're right
They may never see
Exactly...
Thanks for stopping by
You're welcome brother
🥰🥰❤️
How pathetic these force people have become in the third world countries. Instead of becoming a pride for their nation, they tend to live for their short-term pleasures.
May be, it really was the lady who made him stop the vehicle. You never know.
Hey @emreal why don't you think of joining dreemport? You will enjoy, bro. Dreemport has so much to offer
I thought as much, it could really be the ladies . But if at the midst of his duty he could do such a crazy thing, then it is obvious he doesn't know his work.
Ouch!! Thank for the reminder.. I will definitely do, this time around...
It's nice seeing you around 🥰
There is a contest around the corner. You might like to join.

It's always a pleasure to visit you. 😊
I can feel the condition you felt at the time of the examination, of course you are afraid and worried about something that we don't want to happen, such as finding something that makes us stop, and if what they tell us to refute, it will also make them more angry and curious about what was in the bag, fortunately after so long you were released and they were indeed very cruel I thought only the police in my area had such cruel traits
This things are happening everywhere, we just pray for better days...
It's really been a while brother, how have you been???
When they see civilians, their bones become strong. You were not on military camouflage. I don't why a bag with army colour should be a problem. They devote time for frivolities while the people that posses real security threat beat such checkpoint.
Thank God that it was resolved and you got your bag back.
Seriously, that was very insane, who knows how many cars passed that road with weapons and drugs and were not held because they gave bribe? The way out country is going, I am not sure we can depend on these people for security anymore , one just has to be vigilant.
Thanks for this beautiful comment.. I appreciate your contribution sir
You are welcome
Hahaha 🤣 he even have the mind to collect number
You should have known that he is a hungry man he needed money if only the driver understand he would have give him money then you will see that there is nothing wrong with your bag or anyone inside the car
My dear, that guy is funny o.. I knw most soldiers don't collect bribe, his own case just looks like my village people sent him. The cars coming from behind us were allowed to pass, but ours was held, I suspected, he saw those ladies in the guy that was why he stopped us and used me as bait
Hahaha 😂🤣🤣
Hahaha 😆 this is so funny. What was his concern with your bag? Some military and security personnels would just find unnecessary excuse to hang on someone so that they could do their worse and take advantage of uniforms they put on. Thank God he didn't end up collecting the bag from you.
LoL.. that guy almost made me poo on my trouser that day.. I also asked my self the same question, what does he want to do with the bag for God's sake? Something I bought for just 2000 naira haba..
Omo... This camouflage of a thing has become a very annoying habit of this guys. But it almost always had to do with articles of clothing, not bags. This is a first.
I guess the soldier was just looking for your trouble. Good a thing you handled it well.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
That day was like hell for me, I never expected anything like that.., I think he was really trying to catch cruise with me. Well, the good thing is it ended well.
Thanks for stopping by . I really appreciate it
After reading all the stories about the Policemen in your country it makes me not want to ever have to travel there. It also makes me sad. So many people just trying to live their lives. The pay sucks. The roads aren't great. The power may not work. Even when you are driving the police may stop you and say money please or worse.
Not fair :(
Makes me sad.
But glad you took the time to post.
It is so pathetic yet Nigeria is a very good place to be. It's just few selfish individuals that are painting the entire place . I assure you, if you should come down here, you would not regret your stay..
I just have the hope that things will be good soon..
Thanks for stopping by 🤣
