It's your favourite rant girl again🌚
I know you must be fed up from my incessant rants and constant complaints and unnending gists.

But guess what?

You're stuck with me,you signed up for this.
You promised to stick with me through every journey of life and you have to keep your promise as you have been doing since 2017 till now.

I know sometimes I don't always feel like talking about what I feel to everyone but with you I'm an open book just as you are😉,you can read me and I can read you as well.

Let me tell you what happened yesterday,I don't think I have

So,you know how much I've been struggling with French language ever since I came to Cameroon. It's been like 8 monthsa and I'm still on the struggle. Although there are also Ennglish speakers but just a few in the area I'm living. I did a little french in highschool because I love the language,I never knew I'd end up in a french speaking country so soon.

So as I was saying ....

I went to get some pasteries from a lady's shop and she was a native. She can't speak English at all and I can't speak French well. She usually puts the prices of the cakes and all the same way they do it in supermarkets. I bought what I wanted and gave her my money. She said she doesn't have coins to give me .
The thing is I can understand what someone is trying to say in French but I can't speak well. So when she was trying to say she doesn't have coins,I understood and I said "plus tard alors" which is 'later then in French and she said "d'accord" which is 'okay'

I went back today and she doesn't remember me and didn't remember she owed me and you needed to see me mixing up the French that I know and the English that I know together just to explain to her that I came to take my balance. She kept saying "quoi?" ( What?) And I started with my explanation all over and there were a lot of people there😅
It was really embarrassing but they understood,same as the woman. She gave me my money and trust me if I had superpowers,I would've have just disappeared. But I had to take that compulsory walk home

I got home and had a good laugh at myself.
Learning a New language is not easy,but then I found this image while scrolling through Facebook.

For a moment I was really encouraged to keep trying on all those goals I haven't reached yet. Including my journey on Hive, getting back after being inactive for a long time needs a lot of work and consistency and that,I am willing to give.

Today is the last day of October 2023,two more months till the end of the year and all I can be is grateful for the moment and where I am.

I lost my voice because of my sore throat and my elder sister have been making fun of me because of my constant talking in hushed tones. I also used to make fun of her while she was pregnant,I called her 'watermelon' or 'balloon',so I guess I deserve it.

I got me some pills and you know how much I hate them,I don't even think anybody likes them. Worst still, I'll have to chew some of it,it tastes really bad I don't even want to imagine. But I want to be well,so I'll have to take it.

The only thing on my mind right now is how I'm going to sing tonight's lullaby for my niece, I'm ready for the wierd looks I'll be getting during the process because my voice right now won't even get me an E in a test. Tomorrow I'll tell you how it went.
