Ecotrain #QOTW9.9 DO WE NEED A TEACHER OR GURU TO GROW SPIRITUALLY
This is one of a very crucial topic and a very sensitive one at that which we just not over look but deep in carefully to actually as certain the very reason this thought cut across the minds of the Admin to put this up, one of which I’m particularly very interested in pouring out my perspective and my take on these,
Why I pointed out the fact that this is a very crucial and a sensitive theme of the week is that we live in an era some choose to live differently, but what we all failed to realize is that somehow we’re all connected to a spiritual being, a supreme being who supersedes everything activities and all that happens…
A man once said that in a real, metaphysical world that we live in everything we see is controlled by the spiritual realm, things don’t just happened they are predetermined by forces beyond our control and sight ..
Have you ever wonder how the earth and the entire Galaxy system were made?..The distance between each of them what suspends them, how perfectly the sun, moon and the stars are placed, and every other thing in on the planet. But that’s not our focus here….
~Let’s understand spirituality
The Ancient Greek aphorism “Know Thyself” invites us to self-reflect; to look at ourselves and to understand our true nature, and having done so, to live our true nature. But what is our true nature? Are we simply the body that we come into this world with, that ages with time and withers away after death? Are we the mind that grows astute with intellectual pursuits only to evaporate at the time of death? Are we our emotions that change as frequently as the weather? Or is there much more to our “selves”? Is there something more constant, more powerful that defines our true self?

Saints and spiritual Masters, since time immemorial, have come to remind us that we are much more than the body that we see with our physical eyes, much more than our mind or emotions. They tell us that our true self is the spirit or soul. They tell us that the soul is a part of God, the Creator and that it is the Power that enlivens the body, that animates us, that makes us tick. When this Power leaves us, the body becomes motionless, and we are proclaimed dead. Saints also tell us that there is a way for each of us to experience our true nature. It is not an intellectual pursuit, but one of practice, wherein we can have a direct experience of our true self

Spirituality is connecting to our higher self, seeing beyond the physical realm, a sense that tell us there is much more to our self, our being much than what we see feel and smell life transcends beyond this and until a man realizes this true state of nature he is still not complete. Because just like men create things so we did not create ourselves but a higher spiritual being God in his trinity who made man as recorded in Genesis a kind of himself to take over the earth while he rule over the firmament called Heaven.
DO WE REALLY NEED A TEACHER?
I believed that when God created man he left a vacuum in man that only him can fill that void, the fact that man is a spiritual being and until he connects to his original identity he is not complete
The vacuum in a man’s life can only be filled by him, no matter what a man does true happiness comes from this WISDOM of who he truly is….
In this wise the first stage of SELF Discovery is to Discover his maker, when a man come to this point of reconnecting to his spirituality then he is ready to be coached and mentored to maturity,
The second Stage will be to grow in that conviction to know more of himself and thus will require a teacher or a mentor to guide him truly to discovering more
The NEED FOR A TEACHER
First of all Teachers are persons who have gained knowledge and experience over the course of time in an area of Interest and thus have the capacity to transfer this wealth of Knowledge to another, in what ever sphere of life in which one aspire for growth and to become better to improve there is a need to go an experienced teacher or mentor who will properly guide, direct, mentor, coach the person to a particular desired level of which he or she can now stand up boldly having fully come to the knowledge of himself and is able to take up more responsibilities and challenges as they come….
This is when one can say he has attain a true state of spirituality….First, true self discovery and secondly been guided and mentored to maturity.

~Let’s Connect more
This is interesting. This means we must first of all discover our true self even if we must attain spirituality, and then, after doing that, there is need for a spiritual leader to guide us on the right path. Thank you for your thought on this topic.
