Today I want to share with you one of the relics of the Venezuelan Andes, from the state of Trujillo, with modern religious architecture with 400 moons of antiquity of the contemporary era, located in the Santa Rosa sector.

I start my tour with the Santa Rosa sector, in a pedestrian way to enjoy the panorama and its people.

Dear community, I tell you that Trujillo is a small state of literally two streets, where colonial art reigns in every corner we visit, so for students of history and art, is a nice place to explore and exploit, this time we are located with the church of Santa Rosa de Lima, its name according to the natives comes from the meeting of several families including foreigners of that time, who brought from Spain an image of Santa Rosa de Lima, and in agreement was called the enclosure thus.

Of course, to become what it is, it went through a series of phases of transformation in terms of construction and religious administration.

As the population increased, houses were built on the hills of the block adjacent to the enclosure, generally called the Santa Rosa sector, the main parish, near the Doctor José Gregorio Hernández Hospital and the Good Shepherd Cemetery, under the direction of Monsignor Estanislao Carrillo.

On the 25th of August the patron saint festivities began, where church servants run raffles for the wellbeing and conservation of the enclosure, a day on which I went to take some photos and buy a ticket to try my luck.

When arriving at the place I began the photo session with the facade, being striking its periodic form of U, artistic name ogival of reinforced concrete, decorated with plaster in its interior and wood the silhouettes and the altars, there is no bibliographic material for such work, being a pity not to appreciate, accompanied by a tower where the bells are located and a majestic clock, film type that is out of circulation, requires corrective maintenance soon, the central stained glass windows simulate a relief of the cross, where Jesus died for us, blue, surrounded by a palette of colours.

It has two antique wooden doors for access to the enclosure, in the lower part of the stained glass windows of the facade the walls are covered with flagstone and has several plaques of recognition, inside the windows are continuous stained glass windows of a variety of colours, allowing to be illuminated by the hand of man and God, all impeccable full of peace and tranquility.

On the right hand side, once we enter the church, we find the holy sepulchre, accompanied by our state patron saint, the Virgin of Peace.

Inside, the electrical lighting is detailed, surrounded by plaster silhouettes in the shape of flowers, as can be seen:

At the back is the main altar, with a wooden relief surrounded by blessed saints such as the heavenly angels, St. Joseph, the Virgin Mary, the baby Jesus, among others, the wooden pews are preserved.

Its corrective maintenance is the clock tower, which would be excellent to put it to work, to maintain the tradition that the people founded.
And preventive maintenance would be, in my personal opinion, to touch up the façade to conserve its image and history.

I invite you to explore this church, so far I have not seen one like it.
