My garden is full of marigolds, roses, cayenne peppers, hydrangeas, ixoras, succulents, callas, lady's shoes, tears of Jesus, verbena, Jasmine, bridal bouquet, good afternoon, ferns, orchids; my great-grandmother's old flowers that have stood the test of time, flowers stolen along the way by a grandmother desperate to grow her garden, it is filled with the deepest love and sad despair when one fails to survive. /Mi jardín está lleno de caléndulas, rosas, cayenas, hortensias, ixoras, suculentas, cala, zapatito de dama, lágrimas de Jesús, verbena, Jasmín, bouquet de novia, buenas tardes, helechos, orquídeas; flores antiguas de mi bisabuela que han resistido al tiempo, flores robadas en el camino por una abuela desesperada por hacer crecer su jardín, está lleno del más profundo amor y el triste desespero cuando alguna no logra sobrevivir.

Creo que en mi jardín hay como 50 variedades de matas. En casa a las plantas se les habla, se les agradece la alegría que ofrecen, cada una es cuida como un tesoro y tienen un lugar específico para las condiciones climáticas que cada una requiere; también nos encanta tener medicinales como manzanilla, sábila, pasote, valeriana, malojillo, altamisa, jengibre.

Poseemos un lindo taparo de más de 20 años que nos ha servido para hacer lámparas, totumas y otras decoraciones; debo confesar que hay 2 plantas de mi colección que me roban el corazón, los clisantemos y los clavelitos de muertos, muchos no les gusta tenerlas en su hogar porque tradicionalmente se usan para adornas los altares de difuntos.
