Protest by app drivers

Yesterday app drivers all over Nigeria went on protest strike over low price the apps offered their customers especially since there was over 100% increase in the price of premium motor spirit know as PMS with rising inflation at the same paste yet the app operators still maintained their old billing rate at the expense of their drivers.
The demands include a call on the app-based companies to increase fare trips by 200 per cent and reduce their commission by 50 per cent, to give drivers an enabling environment to generate income a the cos of maintenance is steady on the rise


Last week, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited adjusted the price of petrol from N185 to over N500 across its retail outlets, leading to an exponential surge in the prices of goods and services as the government makes its move to remove subsidy , it came as a surprise to alot of persons as they where all anticipating the removal to kick of at the end of the month of June.
