I can never seem to capture squirrels in such clear sharp clarity. They are so good at moving quickly (and out of focus)

The secret is patience, you have to move slowly and without looking at them straight ahead, waiting for them to start eating something is a good idea, it's as if they enter a trance when doing so, plus we need a lens with a good focal length like the Canon 55-250mm that I use.
Another thing that also works very well is pre-focusing, so when you are at the right distance everything will come out in focus.
