Zoom Thanksgiving Service 11-12-2021
Summary of what I learnt:
The reason for Christmas is christ who gives us peace and gave us His only begotten son. Christmas is all about the physical celebration, the reason for Christmas is giving and love unto another when celebrating this shows the true Christmas because there's happiness of the mind helping one another.
1 Corinthians 13:11-12
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
As we grow spiritually, we are to be child things. Some things get clearer as we grow spiritually. Love is what will make things that are formally blurred clear. Without the Lord Jesus, we can not be reformed no matter how hard we try.
Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
The peace of God should dwell in us. It is not everybody that has peace because they don't receive Christ. The sign that we are of Christ is when we love one another.
Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
Some deviate from the way of the Lord because they listen to the feeble.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Jeremiah 30:19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Those that are giving to be thankful are those that are ruled by Christ. If we died in Christ, we are going to be resurrected and those that are found to have Christ will be cut up with Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Not all of us that will sleep but all of us will be changed. There will be some that will be left behind.
