Zoom Mass Indoctrination day 11
Lessons learnt the live mass indoctrination:
There are some obligations that we set for ourselves as a standard to keep up to and as a vow to God to show your allegiance to Him, those things might not be prohibited by God but you just vow to do them to take away distractions from the service of God and be committed to His will. An example of this is catholic priests not getting married, it's not bad not to get married but it shouldn't be preached against because the Bible is not against priest getting married. Even Apostle Peter had a wife.
1 Corinthians 9:5
5 Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
When you make this obligation as a vow to God, you have to keep to it and also redeem it because I you make a vow to God, you have to fulfill it.
Ecclesiastes 5:4-5
4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
In the church concerning contributions, we must not be dictated to on what to pay and what not to, we must contribute willingly and cheerfully, for God loveth a cheerful giver. The contribution in the church should be a voluntary service.
Philippians 4:15-17
15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
Do not forget to do good works and give thanks for with such sacrifices, God is pleased. Thanksgiving, praises and voluntary contribution is offering sacrifice to God.
Hebrews 13:15-16
15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Always give thanks to God.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Whatever thing you give or contribute should be between you and God, don't make an open show of it. Contribution is a secret thing.
The church should not forget the orphans and widows as it is a mark of true religion.
James 1:27
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
