Wednesday Walk: It Started with a Pebble ...

My #wednesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay started with me finding a painted pebble that someone had placed in the wall. For people who don't know about painted pebbles or rocks, you paint a pebble (you don't have to be an artist. Simple designs are fine). On the reverse side, you tell the finder to either keep it or rehide it. You then hide it somewhere but not too hard. The person who finds it posts a photo to their local rock Facebook group to let people know they've found it and hidden it. Anyway, I decided to take 'Tom and Jerry' a car ride first to a local country park.

After parking up, I walked up to the bridge and placed the pebble on the bench. It will be an easy find.

I continued my walk around the park.

The dog rose has white or pink flowers in the summer, but later in the season, changes to rosehips, which are usually orange to red with sharp thorns.

They've done a lot of work to make the walk accessible to people. If it rains it is still firm underfoot.

The once vibrant green leaves on the trees are changing into lovely shades of red, orange, and yellow. Again, the rain kept people away and I didn’t see a soul.

That's such a cool game. I once found a little doll on the floor with a note to "put it somewhere cool" for someone else to find, then post photos on Instagram with a given hashtag. I guess that's similar.

Yes, it sounds like it. We also have fairy doors. Anything to get the kids out walking!
