Fungi in the Forest on Friday

(Edited)

For this week's #fungifriday challenge initiated by @ewkaw, I decided to revisit my favourite forest to see if any fly agarics had appeared.

Even though we hadn't received much rain lately, I kept my hopes up that I would find some.

Arriving at the forest, I spotted a single batch of fly agarics amongst the trees.

However, there was a family of four already there, taking photos of the mushrooms. I had to wait in line for my turn. It was good to see other fungi lovers out.

I finally got my chance, but when I got closer, I realised the fungi were again looking a bit worse for wear, but overall, my #fungifriday adventure was a success. I am already looking forward to the next opportunity.

I’ve seen pictures, but I’ve never come across them myself they look so magical in the forest.

Mushrooms are so fascinating and when you think about how many different species there are mushrooms that glow or have incredible shapes, for example

Wow! These red fungi look very nice and strange with white dots! Nature is very wise! She created these red and funny looking fungi to entertain people and to lighten up the environment.
We only have boring white and brown fungi.

I don’t find a lot. That's why I get excited when I do. 😁

I know lol. There's acres of woodland around there and I still had to queue up! 😁
