Coffee and Fry Up at the Limes Café

After having a good experience at a transport cafe last week, we came across another in our neighbouring county called the 'Limes Cafe' situated on the roadside. It has been a family run business for the past 20 years. There was plenty of parking. In fact, we couldn't miss it as a couple of big lorries were parked outside.

It had a 1950s style decor inside with a young 'Sting' on the wall when he starred in the film 'Quadrophenia'. It was very clean and the staff were nice and friendly and it didn't take too long to get served.

The pedant in me wanted to tell them they'd spelt 'vegetarian' incorrectly on their menu board. The women behind the counter looked younger and stronger than me, so I decided to keep my mouth shut! Least said, soonest mended ....

We settled on two vegetarian breakfasts with a latte and black americano and slices of toast. The cups looked like buckets! Quantity wise, you definitely get your moneys worth. My americano was only £1.70, so nothing trendy, but it tasted fine. The food was good and all a very affordable price. If I lived locally, I'd pop in again, and that says it all.
