A Walk Around the Dam

After finishing my food shopping, I decided to take a quick break and go for a walk around the local dam. The sun was shining brightly, creating some nice reflections in the water as I made my way around the lake.

As I walked along the footpath, I was suddenly greeted by a gaggle of Canada geese. It seemed that someone had just fed them, as they were all gathered together, not moving out of the way. I stood there for a few moments but then decided to weave my way through the geese. They weren't moving anywhere!

Once past the geese, I sat on the bench for 5 minutes watching the world go by. I then carried on my walk.

I continued along the footpath into the little wood at the end. There was a nice crunch of fallen leaves beneath my feet. The trees had vibrant hues of orange leaves that set them apart from the other trees.

There wasn’t a lot of fungi about as we haven't had any rain for a while. The weather might change in the next few days as frost is forecast.

After a quick walk in the wood, I did a circular walk back towards the lake. No geese in sight this time!

A wonderful place to spend a relaxing autumn day. In my opinion it is also a question of colours, that is, these colours of nature also convey harmony and peace.
