A Forest Walk before the European Cup Final - England v Spain

(Edited)

It was the perfect evening for a pre-game walk through the forest before the highly anticipated European Cup final match between England and Spain.

I made my way along the winding footpath that led me into the middle of the forest.

The ground was dotted with purple foxgloves, milk thistles, and fungi.

In a couple of months' time, the forest will be littered with red and white fly agaric fungi, which look really cool. It will be worth coming back to see them.

Yet more lost property. This time Spider Man's bucket hat! I left it on the branch of the tree hoping that it would be reunited with Spider Man.

As I walked, the sky darkened. The clouds loomed ominously overhead, threatening to unleash a downpour at any moment.

Once out of the forest, I made my way down the long lane back to the car. Normally, you get a few walkers out having a Sunday stroll. Today, there hadn't been anyone about. Perhaps, everyone is getting ready for the football match. Come on, England!!

It's a shame but Spain were the better team. 🙂

Such a soothing and calming walk. The pink flowers stand out among the green surrounding. They hat looks a bit lonely.

The Spanish are really good at kicking round objects!

I wish the English had kicked the round object a bit better as well. 🙂
