Rainy Days And Mondays…….My Actifit Report Card: October 14 2024

There’s a song……’rainy days and Mondays…..always get me down’.

That’s not the case for me, but we got both a Monday and a rainy day together!

We kind of slept late today, but given the weather, it’s no wonder. Plus, there was nowhere we had to be, so it didn’t matter.

I did some computer work, laundry and did a lot of pacing-only after I’d prepared the coffee! When I got to pacing, I watched some FFL devotionals while doing it. A good way to forget about how boring pacing can be!

Here’s a bit of eye candy from the trip the other day to the bay.

The tide was the highest I’d seen in quite some time but the waves and the sound from them were so relaxing! Listen as you watch this short video.

Outside, in the rain today, on a moss covered stump, was a very interesting little fungus!

They are called Cyathus. They are also known as Bird’s Nest fungi as they contain what might look like eggs but are spore sacks. A raindrop can ‘splash’ them out of the cup.

In all the years we’ve lived here, neither myself nor @silvertop recall seeing them before. Perhaps, because they are pretty small, but I have a thing for ‘shrooms and fungi, and think I would have noticed. 🧐 Anyway, interesting……
