Meet Me………My Actifit Report Card: August 10 2024
Yes, I know it’s not fall yet, but with the anticipation of attending the NW Washington Fair, coupled with a trip to Hobby Lobby where fall is in full swing, I can’t help but be in a ‘fall’ 🍁🍂🍄🟫 state of mind. Check out this pic of just a 4’ section of display at Hobby Lobby!
Now, if I could just find some real and ripe pumpkins, the atmosphere would be complete. Of course, we are lacking a chill in the air and the smell of wood smoke from the wood stove, but I have a good imagination! 😁👍
@silvertop was tired from all his construction efforts this week and well, I’m always tired, so we set out to Hobby Lobby looking for some type of clothing for Hammy who I introduced a few days ago when we were at the bay. The only thing I found was a new pair of girlie sunglasses for @actifit-lamb. She will be sporting them on Monday when we attend the fair.
I wasn’t much in the mood for shopping and @silvertop wanted some steps, so we headed back towards Lynden to go to the Lynden City Park. Along the way he got some preliminary pics of the fair front gates. It looked like if was a busy day for them. See @silvertop’s post for details and also what he found today.
At the park, you could hear the roar of the jets from the Abbotsford Air Show. I got lucky enough to grab a couple of pictures from my vantage point.
They were loud and we were pretty far away! I can only imagine how loud it must have been at home since we are about 3 miles as the crow flies to the airport there and they were in US airspace during part of it. Poor Cot does not like the noise! 🙀
When we got home, the two bucks who entertained us while hot tubbing this morning, were in the front yard cleaning up the fallen apples.

Hammy is a result of Hamster Kombat, a gam on Telegram. I don't ususally do games, but this one is being a CEO of your own empire; no combat as the name might imply. I find it oddly relaxing!

Always enjoyed watching air shows, airport moved now we seldom see them except when training for some reason they do enjoy the valley in front of us, you captured some lovely shots in formation.
Pumpkin patch looks welcoming to enjoy seeing what they have before the season arrives. Happy Sunday to both of you.

Fall is my favorite time of year and once the pumpkins appear, it's all I can do to contain myself, lol! My husband just smiles as I purchase the many NEEDED pumpkins to display around the yard. No one even sees them as we are secluded mostly from the road. However, I get to see them!
