It Rained ☔️……….My Actifit Report Card: May 24 2024

Yes, as you can see on the new growth of the rose bush, it did indeed rain! ☔️ More on that in a few.

Work was busy today, but in a laid back sort of way. I like it this way as it gives me time to get the jobs of the day finished plus it’s an opportune time to do some training for Donna. I am however glad it’s Friday! 😁

Once home from work, I realized the yard was a plethora of wonderful pictures because of the rain. Enjoy!

The Japanese Maples were amazing! I know some folks are not happy with the rain. I do wish it would warm up just a smidgeon so the garden would grow a little more, but as long as it rains, I won’t have to water! 😎

This is Memorial Day weekend and many see this as the kickoff to summertime as well. It is the time to pause in remembrance of those who have served in the armed forces, but who are no longer of this world. My father is one of those, and if he were alive today, he would have turned 105 years old last month. His mother (my grandmother) lived to be over 100 years old, so the longevity was there, but it was not to be so. I remember the 21 gun salute at his funeral. We should all pause to remember those who fought for freedom and have passed. 🙏
