It’s back! What-you ask? More on that in a minute.
Work was super busy today but Yana did come. She helped lighten the load, but for now, I’ll be pushed a little as she needs training. Once that’s done, it will be even better!😁😇
So what’s back? Well, the weather predicted a nor’easter! That’s usually a wintertime phenomenon which includes incessant bitter cold winds! The wind came, but without the cold. It blew in-you guessed it- forest fire 🔥 smoke 💨 I could smell it before I even got out of bed this morning! It turns the sunshine ☀️ a strange orange-y color. Almost like you’re in a sci-fi movie! Here’s some pics so you can understand what I’m talking about.

The orange is not from the sunset, but from the smoke. It would have been a nice yellow light at this point, in the sky.
It makes it hard to breathe and it stinks-a mix of wood smoke and plastic is the best description I can come up with. I’m not sure exactly where the fires are, but it makes sense with the nor’easter, that they are from up Canada 🇨🇦 way and/or eastern Washington. I just hope the fires are short lived for all concerned!
Tomorrow finds us headed to church ⛪️ for a ministry retreat. Breakfast will be served! 😃

It is indeed what they call a wildfire! It burns out of control eating hundreds of acres or even thousands! It's very sad for the wildlife and for anyone whose homes and properties that are involved. The smoke is so much worse today and is impacting breathing. Not good at all.
I am thankful for Yana! she's been with me before Covid, but had to quit as her kids needed her to be home when they shut the schools. Love ya sis!🤗😘💞🌻🍁🌻💞😘🤗

We should be okay as the fire isn't close, but the smoke is terrible. As we headed to church this morning, the car had a dusting of ash on it and the smoke is even worse than yesterday. I honestly didn't think it could get much worse, but I was wrong. We are all living in a tinderbox in our state and I imagine the surrounding states as well. It's been a long and dry summer. The main fire on the Western slop of the Cascades went from just a fire to one over 15,000 acres! This occurred in just 2 days! We will be careful for sure, but unless someone carelessly starts something our way, we should be good. My heart goes out to those who are currently in the direct path of it. Love ya sis!🤗😘💜💞💜😘🤗

Update: We were told wrong this morning; it's a 7900 acre fire. Still a lot and there are towns seriously near it. We are praying for their safety!💜🤗

Forest fires didn't seemed to be extinguished yet. Can rain actually extinguish the fire?
It can definitely help but not entirely. Most times, they try to get them contained and let them burn themselves out. Here in our state, once the rain sets in, we will see a lot of relief for sure as it tends to rain forever once it starts. The eastern side of the state is much drier and will take longer. Sounds like difficult situation during summer there. Weather in our country is hot most of the time except during monsoon season, though it can be very hot after a period of rain. Then December until early March is quite cold just in time during winter in northern hemisphere.
I would miss the fall and the spring seasons as fall is my number one favorite with spring being number 2. I suppose, it's all in what you are used to though. Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Looks like you might have a bit of smoke in the air as well! Ours is much, much worse than I thought it could get, today. The car had ash on it from the fire down south, which is unusual. It's grown to 15,000 acres in just 2 days! Crazy! Take care sis and have a lovely day!💞😘🤗🌸
