I’ve had a seriously busy week this week between work and the blockchain! I was glad to be able to sleep 🛌 in a bit. We had planned to do an earlier than usual due to the heatwave we are currently in. Even so, I was surprised how warm it was as we set out for the hike! I jokingly asked Jan, ‘is it Fall 🍁’ yet?! Yes, I’m longing for cool nights, crisp mornings and the hint of wood smoke 💨 in the air. We decided we would head up Keith and Lynne’s driveway to the floor trail; connect to the High Trail and come back via the off grid cabin road.
The Floor Trail unfortunately was a swarming ground for those pesky little mosquitoes! 🦟 I could not dance around enough to keep them off of me! 🙀 I was glad to get to the High Trail and begin heading for home! 🏡

That’s gonna be it for now. Tomorrow brings church ⛪️. It’s the church picnic afterwards, but unfortunately we won’t be able to attend. A guy who works with our oldest son, is coming to get the old Ford Ranger we have. It needs mechanical help and we are giving it to him free. He says it will be a good project for him and his boys. I wish them luck and thanks for taking it off of our hands. 😎👍

Cot is never really angry.....he has catitude!
I don't believe that they are; I am not sure what this plant is except that it grows wild in the forest and the stems are woody looking covered with an unbelievable amount of thorns. I think it might be part of the Nightshade family, which is generally poisonous. Next time, I will check it with my plant app and see what results I get. It's usually pretty accurate. I have ever really heard of that
How does the app work??
It's called PlantSnap; you take a pic within the app and it searches this huge data base looking for the plant. It's fairly accurate. Next time we go that way, I'll try to remember to do that!
