Cuando lanzaron los nuevos formatos, realmente pensé que, para el formato “Salvaje” solo podría jugar con cartas de las ediciones “Alpha y Beta”, además de las cartas de la edición “Rewards” asociadas a las anteriores ediciones comentadas, pero para mi sorpresa, cuando leí en la plataforma bien, puede darme cuenta de que, en el formato “Salvaje” se podían jugar con todas las ediciones juntas, así que, fue un momento muy gracioso jaja, la verdad no sé que me hizo creer que solo eran las ediciones antiguas, además para corroborar esto, observe algunas batallas de otros jugadores y efectivamente así fue.

Por otro lado, y para contestar la pregunta de cuál es el formato que más se adapta a los jugadores, es sencillamente el formato “Salvaje”, puesto que, la costumbre antes de que lanzaran los mismos era combinar distintas ediciones con el objetivo de obtener la victoria, así que, podría decirse que es más fácil jugar en “Salvaje” de cierto modo, al menos para cualquier jugador promedio que no busca competir en los primeros lugares de las ligas, ya que es allí donde verdaderamente las cosas se tornan complicadas para el que quiere jugar el formato “Salvaje”.

¿Los focus cambian si se juegan diferentes formatos?

Respondiendo esta pregunta según lo que he visto si es que se juegan ambos formatos, los “Focus” no cambian si se juega uno u otro, cada 24 horas se activa un focus y se puede cumplir el mismo independiente del formato que se juegue, así que, fácilmente se puede jugar incluso una batalla en moderno y un en salvaje y de igual forma contara para obtener puntos para los focus diarios. Esto también aplica para los cofres del final de la temporada, es el mismo caso, no importa donde juegues.

Últimos aspectos a tomar en cuenta

Esto post lo realicé porque he visto algunas dudas en la comunidad en torno a estas preguntas y también para exponer mi experiencia sobre estos nuevos formatos y mis investigaciones al evaluar la rentabilidad en ambos y sus diferencias más notables. Espero en el futuro poder jugar algunas partidas en el “Salvaje”, pero mi enfoque está solo en el “Moderno” por ahora, esto es obvio, ya que son las únicas cartas que tengo para jugar, algunas de la edición “Untamed” así como de “Chaos Legion”.

The new formats have been active for almost a week now, at least that is what I understand, with the arrival of these new formats rewards have been created for each format separately, where the player basically chooses what he wants to play, if with relatively new cards, taking into account the last 2 big editions that have come out as; "Untamed or Chaos Legion" qualifying for the "Modern" format or failing that, for the "Savage" format with all the previous editions.

In this post I intend to write some peculiarities that I have observed about these formats, plus something very curious that happened to me at the beginning when I started playing them, however, I want to clarify that my entry to the game was just in the edition of "Chaos Legion", so I have only focused on "Modern" mainly, but, I like to investigate a lot about everything related to the gains that can be obtained, so watching the battles of others, you can observe several things.

The peculiarities of the new formats?

In which format do you earn more DEC per battle?

The answer is very obvious to my way of understanding things and how it works, however, to clarify it in case any new user wants to know, the "Modern" format offers better rewards for winning battles, this is for the simple reason that playing it is a little more complicated, because you can only use cards from 2 editions such as "Untamed and Chaos Legion".

Of course, I must clarify that, when I say complicated, I am referring to the veteran players who have much more time in the game, since, this makes them own cards from the older editions, as opposed to the newer players, who only own at least the cards of "Untamed", but focus much more on the current edition which is "Chaos Legion".

What is the format that best suits players in general?

When they released the new formats, I really thought that, for the "Wild" format I could only play with cards from the "Alpha and Beta" editions, plus the cards from the "Rewards" edition associated to the previous editions commented, but to my surprise, when I read on the platform well, I could realize that, in the "Wild" format could be played with all the editions together, so, it was a very funny moment haha, the truth is I don't know what made me believe that they were only the old editions, also to corroborate this, I observed some battles of other players and indeed it was so.

On the other hand, and to answer the question of which is the format that best suits the players, it is simply the "Wild" format, since, the custom before they released them was to combine different editions with the objective of obtaining victory, so, it could be said that it is easier to play in "Wild" in a certain way, at least for any average player who does not seek to compete in the first places of the leagues, since it is there where things truly become complicated for the one who wants to play the "Wild" format.

Which of these formats could bring greater profitability over time?

According to what I have written, the answer to this question is obvious, but to be clear, in my opinion, the most profitable format at least for now is the "Modern", since the amount of DECs to be distributed in it is higher, because there are not so many players with relatively new cards and some have all editions, so it is difficult for them to play even both formats consistently.

This may change over time, since as more players enter Splinterlands, it makes sense for them to focus on the newer cards and editions, this would cause the amount of DECs to be dealt to decrease over time, but, for the player who is currently in Modern, the idea is to take advantage of these possible greater gains, At least that is what I would do, my thought in the short term is to go buying cards, I do not like the idea of renting, since, the process to obtain higher returns is a little more complex, it has many factors behind it and I do not have enough time to calculate it, I see this more as a support, when a specific card is missing.

Does the focus change if different formats are played?

Answering this question according to what I have seen if you play both formats, the "Focus" does not change if you play one or the other, every 24 hours a focus is activated and you can fulfill the same regardless of the format you play, so, you can easily play even a battle in modern and one in wild and it will count the same way to get points for the daily focus. This also applies to the chests at the end of the season, it is the same case, no matter where you play.

Last aspects to be taken into account

I made this post because I have seen some doubts in the community around these questions and also to expose my experience about these new formats and my research in evaluating the profitability in both and their most notable differences. I hope in the future to play some games in the "Wild", but my focus is only on the "Modern" for now, this is obvious, as these are the only cards I have to play, some from the "Untamed" edition as well as from "Chaos Legion".
