This is one of the rules that I love to play, because it is very simple to understand, however, before going to what I know we all care about, I must define what this battle rule is about. To begin with "Equal Opportunity" gives all the monsters on the field, the ability called "Opportunity", which focuses on attacking the cards that have a lower amount of life points on the field, this means that, if for example, I have a card on my side of the field that has 2 life points and the rest of 5 cards on the field far exceed that amount, it means that my opponent's monsters will attack my card with 2 vital points first, it's as simple as that.

Now, this is kind of a general rule in my opinion, so there is no specific rule or ability to counteract the effects of "Equal Opportunity" and the ability it provides, however, according to what I have researched and know about the game, I will describe some scenarios where to use the "Equal Opportunity" and the ability it provides, I will describe some scenarios where using the "Opportunity" ability is dangerous and can play against us, there are certain abilities that, although they are not created to act against "Opportunity", can work very well to reduce the direct damage of this type of attacks and additionally to cause some damage to the cards that attack.

1		This is a dangerous ability for monsters that get the "Opportunity" ability, especially for those with the "Melee" attack type, since, upon a successful attack, the "Thorns" will take away +2 health points each time they attack. Playing with an earth summoner called "Mylor Crowling" is great for stopping the "Opportunity" ability.
2		This is a great ability, and although most of the monsters that users use to attack with the "Opportunity" ability are melee, when "Equal Opportunity" is in play, no matter the type of attack they will all get the ability to attack the weakest card in the field, that's why, "Return Fire" is dangerous for "Opportunity", because even if they can hit the attack from a distance, it will return it causing damage to the attacking card.
3		This is another dangerous ability for those who get the ability called "Opportunity", since this ability causes direct damage to life points if the attacking card misses the attack, which is very possible, since we must remember that we have speed and some series of abilities that increase the probability that a card misses the attack.

Scenarios for taking advantage of the Equal Opportunity Rule

As I already mentioned "Equal Opportunity" is a general rule, and although there are ways to neutralize it, of course there are certain things to take into account to take advantage of this ability and increase our chances of winning the battle, these aspects are very simple to understand and as soon as I explain it, you will see why we must play in this way and with the type of cards that I will explain below:

• High speed cards:
  This is essential to have a better chance of winning, since, if we place cards with higher speed points than our opponent, we will be able to attack our opponent's weakest cards first. Something very simple, although not all the time we will have this type of scenario, since not always our strongest cards have higher speed score.

• Cards with a good amount of life points:
  This is essential, every time we find ourselves with "Equal Opportunity", we must place cards with as many vital points as we can, this will give us or rather guarantee us in a certain way, more time on the battlefield, and we know that the player who finishes with a card on the field, is the one who wins the battle.

  This is something additional, however, it can further increase the chances of winning, since having 2 types of attack, ensures that it will cause double the damage to the weakest card in the field, which of course increases the chances of winning, so the more offensive power with the characteristics that I mentioned above, the better.
